At which point everyone in the room wept in relief and profusely thanked the gay guy.

Who thinks it's high time the OP had his own scroll, Jerboy style?

How about just banning him and getting it over with. It's pretty clear he's got nothing to offer ATOT.

If you would have retaliated, he could have pulled hate crime/sued you...even if he started the physical altercation.

You may have lost your mancard, but at least you aren't in jail over it.

The way you talk with people makes me think you have Assburglar's syndrome.

:hmm: This would explain him chatting you up...

went to a party with a friend and met another one of his friends. was talking to the guy for a while when he mentioned that he was gay. i asked him "do you ever accidentally get confused and use the womens bathroom?" BOOM he slapped me like instantly. i got so embarrased and ticked off i just left the party early.

and its getting to the point where i dont even care anymore, probably not going to file charges.

I don't know what's worse, can someone help me out?

1. Attempt at bad joke and ends up being socially awkward
2. Getting slapped by a fairy
3. Crying about it to people on an online forum

They are all equally shameful and a disgrace to his family. Well maybe not 1) but definately 2) and 3).

So that's what you guys called gay folks now?

Learn something new everyday. BTW, not sure if the OP is serious and not made up the whole story.

I'm guessing you're just joking. But you should've wrote him a fuckin pome instead! What were you thinking?!

If you just kept your mouth shut, you could have gotten a date out of it. Way to blow your big chance to get laid for the first time.

Here is the deal, people don't like being insulted.
Stop insulting people and they will stop slapping you.

You might also work on not being a complete ass.
But, even as a complete ass, if you don't go around directly insulting the people you are prejudiced against they won't attack you.

Well done, brianmanahan. You delivered an entertaining thread at your expense. Whether the story is true or not, I don't really care, I LOL'd! 😀

You have to know your audience, and that's difficult with someone you're just meeting. We watched the UFC fight at my house last weekend and a guest brought over some friends, including a really big guy who weighed the better part of 300 pounds. My roommate started to go into a rant about Harley riders, but before he said anything too untowards, he had the sense to ask the large man if he happened to be a Harley afficionado. Just common sense; you don't want to risk offending someone who looks like they could snap you in half.

So, if you know someone is gay, and you don't already have a rapport with them, it might be considered unwise to start dropping jokes from Andrew Dice Clay's reject pile on them. They might inadvertently make you look like a bitch, for example, and you don't want that. You'll find that once you get to know someone and build up a sense of friendship or camaraderie, you'll be able to get away with more offensive banter because they'll understand you're not actually a bigot, you're just playing one for the purposes of humor.

Or you might just be a bigot. In which case, you're going to spend a lot of your life with a handprint across your face.

I hope not IRL. He's a pretty chill harmless guy. He PM'd me few times. I like him, he grew on me.

Next time you go out together to pick up dudes, teach him you don't have much chance in hell if you insult them.

I can only speak for women, but their is a fine line between being funny and just being insulting/derogatory.
