no. its their own mistake that makes the price rise
Ok well lets look at it on the other person's foot then Mr. Smarty Pants. Lets say your selling something on hotdeals and
mistaken send them two of something but they only paid for one. Would you let them keep it and just be out the money or would you want it back as long as you paid for shipping?
Exactly, its a mistake. The person making the mistake should pay for it.
If I am dumb enough to send out an extra set, I deserve to lose that chunk of change. Luckily, I am not that dumb.
But lets talk in scale here. If i received 2 packages from an individual when I was supposed to receive one, I'd contact him and ship it back IF he pays for return shipping. A large company probably doesnt care and would make customer pay for shipping back. No way in hell im paying for shipping back when they are the ones who made the mistake in the first place.
As for morals, with an individual, I'd definitely contact him. Since he doesnt have my CC info, he cant charge me for the extra set. If he decides to be a dick and wants me to pay for shipping back, I can tell him to shove it. But if he is nice and willing to pay for shipping, Id gladly ship it back to him. Therefore there arent really negative consequences in contacting a single individual.
On the other hand, if it was a large company, I'd less likely contact them (unless they contacted me first) since if they are dicks and want me to pay for return shipping and I dont ship it, they can charge me for the extra set because they have my CC info saved. Thus, I put myself in a tough spot by bringing up their error in their radar. If they contact me and are willing to pay for shipping, I'd ship it back.
