I Got Laser Eyes!

sweet, thanks for the tips ... if anyone have any recommendations for the bayarea, give me a holler ... #4 Ask ATOT on recommendations for a lasik doctor. hope it's not a sh!tty idea in hindsight 😉

as far as age goes i just turned 25 in feb so im not that much older then you and as far as poor goes, well i would just wait until i had money for it.

4/12 update: So my night vision has gotten a lot better, and my eyes are staying lubricated by themselves for the most part, my vision is defintely getting better over time.

1.) Did you hold your breath when the laser was on? How still were you in terms of keeping your eye/head from not moving?

2.) Did you get the laser to cut th eflap of your eye or the metal blade? Did that hurt?

The company I work for provides medical financing for elective procedures like LASIK, invitro, and uhhhh....... augementation of various parts of the anatomy. So if your insurance company does not cover the procedure, there are companies that can help out.

generally you wear safety shields/goggles for the first week so you don't accidently rub your eyes while sleeping....don't want to mess up the flap.

They gave me swim goggles, I felt pretty cool😀

no i didnt hold my breath, the laser compensates for movement of the eye

i got the laser to cut the flap and no it doesnt hurt cause they use anestheitic drops.

how well does the corrected eyes last? I'm thinking that if my eyes have already deterioted to -3.5 at age 23, by 30 or 40, even if I get lasik now, its gona be bad again. Can you get lasik again in 10 years to recorrect 'em? and how would contacts work later on if your vision goes to crap again?

How suseptible are your eyes to damage in that one week period? Is it ok to rub them gently, in case some debris or whatntot flies in there or something?

my doc says the correction will last until about 45 and at that age or more almost all people need reading glasses, so i will need reading glasses. and yes you can do the procedure again, my doc provides up to two years of corrections/touch ups for free but he says he has only done a very few touch ups once on a patient.

I would think that in 10 years, they will probably have better procedures than LASIK. Heck, we might be able to get Supermanesque vision 😀

after 2 days you can rub them gently after a week you are back to normal, after two days my eyelashes were all stuck together from the thick drops they have you put in the eyes. ive never been so happy washing my face.
