Thugsrook. What heatsink do you use? I plan on staying with the stock one and using Arctic Silver 3 if it is worth it? Is it worth?
 
This is getting good.If you can hit 2520 140fsb at default,things are looking up.I hope she's got more in her at default.😀
 
THUGSROOK - same story here, purchased a 1.8a that should be arriving this week, but I've yet to purchase the case and and mobo and suggestions on either one of them? I'm going to price/stability with some oc'ing over max overclocking. No external cooling is needed right?

I am still here refreshing the page. Watching and waiting. What voltage did you stop at? How much did your heatsink/fan and arctic silver help you over the stock one if you ever used a stock one on a P4 not the 1.8 since I doubt you used it. Still not bad I will be happy if mine can do that. My C366@550 is getting real slow.

🙂 always nice to hear somebody getting a 5X upgrade to their cpus =) my friend went from celeron 300 to 2100+ and he was ecstatic... mine was from 1.5ghz to 2.7ghz so it wasn't that big of an upgrade

I went 10x when I first upgraded.. :Q Pentium 100 to a 1GHz Tbird.. then to a XP2000+ which I won.. and now my 1.8A@2.6 😀
 
why would i want a 2.0A?
it aint gonna get near 150fsb let alone 164fsb.
its all in the FSB:MEM speed if you want a fast system.
MHZ dont mean chit if your ram is slow as hell.

...thats right ~ im saying 400DDR is slow as hell 😉 😛
(but thats only because of my sig)

this 1.8A or a 2.0A would be better suited for a RamBus system for maximum speed.

I was kidding, but it looks like you need a B cpu...


My PC2100 won't go over 153, and the P4B266 only does 1:1 over 133, so I just want the highest MHz number possible. 😛 That's right, I'm a PC ricer!! All show, no go baby! 😎
 
Spicedaddy ~ the p4b266 can use a 3:4 ratio above 133fsb, theres a trick to it 😉

LordSnailz ~ you should expect the same results i got, +/-.
i was able to run benchmarks upto 150fsb, and itll probably be 100% Prime95 stable @ 145fsb w/1.7v.
