piece of sh!t.

It was my card, I payed for it.. and yours problems are ???
Worst case: I was in the middle of a flash and the X-connect just died...I tried another PSU and the system powered on, but no post..🙁...I tried my old pci TNT card and it booted right up, so I know the card is toast. I even tried to reflash with the pci card but I cant because it an Nvidia card..🙁

Anyways I killed my Ultra so there will be no RMA or the such..I'm really happy with the UE..🙂

How much did you pay for the UE? And your firend is nuts. he has a UE and orders an XT850? And what is he using in the meantime while you have his UE and his XT850 is on order?

I know...LOL🙂

The funny thing is, I think I could reflash it if I had a AGP ATI card..(given the PSU didnt burn it..lol)

I just got a 6800 UEE also! Well, I had entered my fiancee in the drawing to double my chances lol ... I have SLI now anyway so in her machine it goes!

Trading a UEE for a X850? Hmmm don't think that is exactly going to 'the latest and greatest'; he should be gunning for SLI if that's what he wants 🙂

Mustang guy huh? I see you name 302efi, what year mustang is that in?

I have a 2003 cobra with a kenne bell blower swap on the stock 281, I was pondering the idea of a engine swap to push it over 1000 RWHP. Is it possible to get a 5.4L crate engine or block or even better a 351? Obviously I want something that is as new as the car that will fit without any problems, so we are talking something current production and not like a 1970s engine in a 2003 car.

Edit: Hmm there must be, what block do they use for the Saleen S351? I think that would work well in a Cobra, cast iron 351 block running 7:1 on 23+ lbs of boost should give 1000 RWHP easy on AV gas.

I got 2 notches..a '91 and a '93...the '91 is carbed, 408, C4, cage ect...weekend toy...best (on juice): 10.7.. the '93 is my daily driver..the usual: AFR 165's, TF stage 2 cam, 4.10's, Tremec 3550, ehaust ect...

'03 Cobra ?? Must be nice!!!!🙂..Yeah, Saleen has the motor mounts you need for the 351 swap in to the SN-97 chassis ('99-04)...I saw a recent dyno test on the KB, Eaton (stock), and the Saleen blowers..the KB added about 125 HP...pretty nice for just a blower swap 🙂!!!

The 5.4 is what was in the '00 R, so all you would need to reserch the mounts, headers, oil pan ect you need for the swap.

I know that '03 is a BEAST !!🙂

The 351S is no more ..🙁 After Ford stoped making the the 351 Lighting shortblock, that end the like of the all the Saleen 351 models...Saleen used their own custom blower pistons, cam, girdle ect...I would bet they could take a good 700-750 HP or so...To handle the kinda power your talking you need a FRPP block or anol old '69-'72 351w block...lots a meat in the webs, 4 bolt blocks.

Yeah the 2.4L KB with a 2.81" steel pulley and CAI makes some mean HP, you just have to set the rev limit at 5,500 unless you want SC parts flying through the hood 😉 No matter, the torque curve is basically flatlined from 2,000 to 6,000 anyway from the examples I've seen from KB.

Haven't had mine dynoed but I figure it should be around 600 RWHP with stock fuel and exhaust on pump gas. Need to get around to adding bigger injectors and a X pipe and headers some day... really no need for it but it's hard to resist the 1G barrier 😉

I love the KB and the fact that it has a bigger displacement than most entire import engines 😉

My apologies. You could have included the little fact that you didn't RMA it... though now I have to bust your balls for having so much god damned money. Jesus Christ...

That's like "Oh well, my $1,000,000 house just burnt to the ground... I'll just pay $2,000,000 for a new, better one and not bother collecting insurance on the $1,000,000 one!" Where do you get all that dough? 😛

LOL..I wish I was rich !!!🙂..The only reason I had even gotten an Ultra is if you guys remember a while back when Newegg was selling the EVGA 6800 Limited Editions( the defected Ultras) ?, Well I bought one and I choose to pay by money order..come to lfind out they had sold the one reserved for me, so they filled my order with the Ultra !🙂...So I really only paid $328.99 for the Ultra

Anyways like I said, I only paid $300 + some mustang parts for the Ultra Extreme..I had some extra cash left over form the holidays and I figured what the hell, might as well...

So far I the cool bits 2.0 reg tweak , and using is overclocking tool I got 471 / 1309 ..

Damn, these Ultra Extreme cores must be cream of the crop 🙂

You know what, this isn't the first time I've heard of someone with an X-Connect PSU lose a high end card. There's another guy I believe in the R3D forums that lost an X800 to the same PSU manufacturer.

I know a while back there was a thread on here about how bad they were, but I didnt take notice. A couple weeks later I got a CompUSA giftcard as a gift and they had the 500w X-Connect on sale, so I wnt ahead and bought it...to be honest, the power supply had no problems at all, it posted everytime, was quiet and all my volt readings on the board were way above spec, even with all my fans, harddrives, ect...It sucks ass that it went out like this...

I know that I got a 1 year warranty on it, so I'll be making the call for RMA Monday🙂

Not bad at all, what clocks is it running? Stock cooling?

Almost makes me want to take out my A8N-SLI real quick and stick my Neo2 back in with the new UEE and see what it does. It came like a day after the A8N did and I couldn't wait heh.
