In my experience, Doctors have caused more iatrogenic etiology than cures for me and mine. The only doctors I trust are my Pdoc and my wife's internist.

I have to cough my lungs out after almost every meal.

i've been doing that since i was like...12. It's annoying and according to a doc i saw when I was 15..he says it's some sort of mucus allergic reation to food or whatever. So we didn't do anything aobut it..and now...5 years later, I'm still coughing out my lungs after I eat. Bleh...it sucks.
