I suggest at least six per day. Not that I condone it either.

Contrary to popular belief, there are low-flow toilets that'll flush most anything in one pass.

I doubt it.
Did you read my link?

Correct. There are good toliets and bad ones, just like everything else made.

I went back and read it. Interesting, but no real proof of anything. What I need is a toilet bowl superstore with a "try out" bathroom. Of course I would have to visit the store many times over the course of a few months to try out each of the products.

By that reasoning, any online review has no real proof.

I didn't read the rant, but two things:
1) R
2) Hold down the handle while flushing for as long as you need to and you won't have any problems

No, actually most online reviews do have "proof or anything", they have benchmarks, tests, etc. I didn't see anything like that following your link.

It's not just the AMOUNT of water involved, but also the PRESSURE. I've seen old school toilets with tons of water that don't work well, because the water lazily slinks down the hole. I've also seen low flows that keep you alert for fear of losing a limb. So there is more to the equation than just gallons.

Also, it's been said before but less eloquently:
If it's yellow, let it mellow
If it's brown, flush it down.

Can they not be fabricated?

EDIT: Are you asking for video clips of those toilets flushing large, misshapen turds?

OP, how old is your toilet?

When low flow toilets first came out they had tons of problems. CUrrent ones work great.

When I bought my house 4+ years ago it had a huge 5 gallon or so flushing toilet. The thing would clog up every other time I used it. So a couple years ago I bought an Elger toilet from Menards. It's a 1.5 gallon low flow toilet. I can load that thing up pretty good before it will clog. It works FAR FAR better than the old one I had even though it uses like 1/3 of the water.

Plus the effect on our water bill was amazing. It dropped $10-$20 or so and there's only two of us living here. Imaging having a whole family and going frmo a 5 to a 1.5. the water svings would be huge.

I'd go check and see how old that toilet it and if it's know to have clogging issues. Then maybe just go buy a better one.

The toilet is from 2003/4.

No, I don't want to see turd videos. I also don't trust a review that really doesn't have any substance. Perhaps it isn't possible to write a toilet review online that I would trust, it might just be how things are.

This is one of the best rants I have seen here.

Low flow == junk
If you want to save on water when you piss, go in the sink.

LOL. grade A+ rant.

I have similar problems in the past as well. But ya, industrial toilets = WIN. I've always did not understand why public toilets have them, but not homes. Every home should be blessed w/ one of those toilets.

You need to buy good low flow toilets, thats the key. I bought a Kohler Memoirs toilet for my half bath and it is great. Its as good if not better than my two other 3 gallon toilets.
