damn straight

now its gonna be:
Cambridge Audio D500
Musical Fidelity X-Cans v2 Tube Headphone Amp
Sennheiser HD-600

I was waiting for a deal on them, but I got tired of waiting. I forked over the $280 for them.

HD 433

Use them listen to CD's or Mp3's at work, so there it sound excellent. There are just one small problem with them and that is that they leak sound so my people at work tend to get a little mad if I play music loud... 🙁

ah, not too shabby. I owned those at one point, but gave them to a friend, as they needed them more. I used them as a pair I could beat up at LAN parties and such.

These are true reference sound quality- to match this accuracy in a speaker, you'd spend $10k+ and need a specially built and treated room to avoid room artifacts. From that standpoint, these are not expensive-they're a bargain! I use my two pair at home or office with M-F X-cans v2 amp- very delicious sound, even with a portable CD player as source. These are significantly better than others I have owned. Only the Orpheus is better in my experience(at $13000).

The top of the line Sennheiser headphone...it's simply the best dynamic headphone. Sound. Comfort. Everything.

Geez, do you live at home where you can't use speakers????? You could have invested that money is some 5.1 digital surround system instead.

Im at college, and i DO have speakers. Monsoon MM-1000's to be exact. For $280, you'd get really crappy sounding 5.1. Sure, I could get 5.1, but it wouldnt be worth listening to. I got these headphones (and the speakers I have) for sound quality, not features.

I have Senn HD500s (modified) at home that work just fine... Of course I'd love to have the 600s, but couldn't justify the expense. Also, the dual cords on the 580s and 600s are bothersome.

Anyway, but my new favorites are my Sony 888 earbuds... these sound absolutely fantastic and don't hurt my ears either.

ouch, $280.. that would kill my pocket book 🙁 I want the 495's.. i can realistically get those (eventually...)... my roommate has the 570's i think.. or something.. and i never realized they were cloth... and oh so comfortable!!!!

I have some cheap koss r100's for now ($35 shipped). I needed headphones, and something i can bring around to lans w/o worrying too much.. as my clonked my mdrv600's on the table and now they rattle 🙁 stupid me...
