There needs to be some fluid transfer of blood.

I do not think you could get aids by swapping spit (ie, french kissing)

If I remember correctly. You have to drink over 3 gallons of someone's saliva to contract HIV

Yup

blood can appear dark when a vein is cut. If i remember correctly, viens carry un-oxygenated blood back the the lungs, its the oxygen that turns the blood red. Plus, if it was at night, of course it would look dark.

idiots confirmed

I am pretty sure you would have to drink his blood to be susceptible. Methinks your friend is an idiot.

yes. its only transferable through direct fluid transference. unless you had sex with him or pulled a vampire, youre fine.

Hello, yesterday I was walking in downtown with some of my friends and a homeless guy comes upto us and says he needs to go to the emergency room. He said he cut his hand and needs a bandage, I didn't really look too closely at the cut and I told him where to go. Afterwards my friends told me that guy had AID's (they said a normal person wouldn't bleed like that and the blood was a strange color) and said hopefully you weren't taking deep breaths near him b/c the spores will get into your lungs. I feel so naive for not knowing how susceptable anyone can be to AIDS. I always thought it was only transmitted through direct contact through blood or sex. Fortunately, it was about 30 degrees last night and my friends said there is a very rare chance the spores could survive in that weather. Does anyone know the real chances of me getting AID's in a situation like that (assuming its a warm day)?

Please tell me you're joking.

How can anyone be this freakin ignorant?

And don't ever use public toilets! Aids is easily transmitted on the seats.

You could drink ALL an HIV+ person's blood and not get infected. UNLESS you a bleeding ulcer or bad gum disease.

HIV cannot survive stomach acid.

Actually, you can get it from deep kissing. But the only way that can happen is if both parties have advanced gum disease and are bleeding at the time.

So for all intents and purposes, no, you can't.

True, but to really be on the safe side, it's best to stop at 2 gallons.

A virus doesn't have spores.

You can't tell if someone has AIDS from from how much they bleed.

You can't tell if someone has AIDS from the color of their blood.

Confirmed. Sounds like your friend is one of the Mr. Know-it-All types.

I always thought Aids and air didn't go well. The aids infection immediately dies when it comes into contact with air. Am I correct on this assumption?

yeah air born aids doesnt really work

That's because AIDS dies outside the body.

Well, I shouldn't say "dies"; I should say "becomes dormant" for up to two weeks. Touch that crap to living flesh again and it comes out of dormancy.

You can if it transfers to fleas and mutates because of radiation from a nuclear plant! They were Congolese type fleas, so they usually transfer ebola but mutated for AIDS.
