We had an outside cat that kind of came with the last house we owned... long story. She up and vanished one day for about a week and a half. We figured she was gator bait or something, but one day she came back. We have no idea where she went, and she wasn't telling. It wasn't long after that, though, that she vanished again and never came back. She was old when we moved in, though, and probably went off somewhere to die.

I hope your cat is ok. It's funny how pets become a part of the family after a while.
 
These cat threads are making me really worried about my cats back in NY... One is an outdoor cat, and the other stays indoors but is constantly trying to get out.

Is there any way to turn a once-outdoor cat into an indoor one?
