Im 19, I keep fit and do a bit of cardio when I can and when I am injury free.

Thing is I drink alot, well 9 pints a week ( Sat night ) the thing is, there is nothing to do on sat nights apart from go out with your mates and get drunk and laugh. Trouble is I feel bad that I am doing damage to myself and I suffer from bad hangovers really bad the next day.

I'll give you an example

Start at 8:30... start drinking Cider

Finish drinking 2 am.

Get Home 3 am

Up at 7 Am

Work at 8 am.

Home at 4 Pm.

Die in bed.

Is my drinking bad or even too much ( cider) ? I always push myself the next day at work and try and sweat.

You obviously know something isn't right. Question is: what are you going to do about it?

I dont know. If I stay in 2nite I'll be bored and only have "Dr Who" & "Match of the day" to keep me company...

I get such a high from being tipsy and feeling free, but the next day...Jesus

Drink something cleaner & with less calories instead, for instance a decent brand of tequila, straight. An enjoyable night for me consists of about a pint of it. More than that will result in a hangover, so I limit myself

If you're bored, you're boring. Find something else to do. It's not anyone else's job to entertain you.

If the amount you drink was really bothering you, I don't think you'd need to ask somebody else whether you should do something about it.

That said... the fact that you're having to die in bed the next day means you're running past your limit. While this is a crazy thought, you could try limiting what you drink a bit.

I hate to say this, but the only thing I've gotten really drunk off of and didn't get a hang over is Cognac X.O

haaaa you consider 9 beers to be dangerous.

Deeko's Friday Night(4/29)
9pm: powerhour(7.5 beers)
10pm: beerpong(roughly 4 or 5 beers)
12am-3am: go to a party(while at party, drink at least 5 more beers, including 2 shotguns)

I do this probably 3 times a week. Trust me, you're not hurting yourself worse than the typical college student.

hell 'mate', time is my problem. I get my workout's in and I stay in shape despite an absurd beer consumption. I don't I keep about 15 lbs on me.

If you averaged my drinking, it'd probably work out to 72 oz a night (six 12 oz bottles), I have counted over 100 in my recycle bin (once a week collection) a few times.

I can quit cold turkey for months at times on and off (I have been drinking since maybe 13?, regular and steady since 18ish....I am 34 next month).

I don't think it's a healthy thing. I probably will lose some life expectancy, but I think I make up for a lot of what other's do in life (the smokers that drill packs a day down, eat at fast food each meal, then still drink some at night).

Take vitamins, eat well, enjoy your pints. Have fun in life though.

You live to 72, 100, 50, whatever....make sure it was a good ride.

I drank like a fish through high school and even more in college.

now having a ft job and house I still drink quite a bit when I can. Have fun while you can as you have time to get your body back in shape.
