Something breaks, and now you have to deal with tech support which is shit. UGH! Why can't we just fire all the people who speak like shit? :| I was just on the phone for 52 fucking minutes all to hear, "You'll have to call back on Monday" from a guy who knows what he was talking about. (He even sounded better than everyone else... like he had a better connection and mic)

Fuck HP tech support, seriously. So complicated of a story too... I sent something in, and then I don't get it back... then they are like, "Well that shouldn't have happened, it should have just been sent back because we don't accept that normally.. This is weird and confusing."

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

My mothers power connection in her laptop broke, so I have to deal with all the tech shit. :| Then we are told to send in the power adapter(WHY?!?!?!) and we do that, but not with the HP box we are supposed to use(because the tech guy said NO, YOU HAS TO PAY FOR IT)... Anyway, so now we are waiting for the fucking power adapter but we got the laptop back. Fixed, I guess? I don't really know, because we can't test the power adapter connection if it is in there good or not BECAUSE we don't have the power adapter!

Fucking hate shit tech support.

I'm starting to think it would have been better if I had just cracked the laptop open and fixed the thing myself.

The hard drive in my laptop went south last week and Dell had a new drive delivered to me in two days. And then I sent them the FUBARed one back in the box they sent for the new one.

I guess the lesson is don't buy HP. LOL

yea I really dig the mobility of laptops but mine is starting to crap out after 2 years and I'm remembering how I'd only upgrade from desktops by choice and never really encounter hardware problems. I mean if I wanted to start up my desktop from 1995 I probably still could.

I hate outsourced tech support too. This comes from someone who works for an outsourced tech support company... :p But at least we're not in India and we don't read off scripts, we actually know what we're talking about, if we don't, we find out. (TONS of weird apps to support, we can't know everything).

A couple of weeks ago my 4-year old daughter broke the AC adapter plug and the power connection into the laptop on my wife's Dell laptop, she tripped on the cord. I have complete care so I opened up a tech case via e-mail for the issue. They sent me a box to put the laptop in to ship back to them. I removed the hard disk and send the laptop and AC adapter back to Dell. The laptop came back about 1 1/2 weeks later with the laptop fixed and a replacement AC adapter. I didn't even talk to tech support, it was all done via e-mail.
