It is their money, they can do with it whatever they want.
So, when are you going to move out of their basement and stop sucking on their teat?

Whenever I go to a university that is far away or after I get a decently paying job that can afford me to move out.

When the fuck was you in the service?

I was in 'nam, man...

My father was recently qualified as a 100% disabled veteran and since I am his dependent(And in the right age range, etc) then I have benefits.http://www.gibill.va.gov/pamphlets/ch35/ch35_pamphlet_general.htm It's that pretty much... A lot of public schools will give you a tuition waiver with proper documentation. I am just waiting for the VA to go through my paperwork so I have the certificate to show it all and get the free schooling and the money every month(That's how I plan to pay for the car, the car insurance, and gas... Also going to save that money for any unexpected costs that I may have going to school)

Just to sum up:

1) Your dad served this country and was disabled/wounded
2) You're getting tuition free because of your father's sacrifice
3) You're pissed because he won't buy you a new truck

Amazing.

1) Like 20 years ago (And he functions pretty swell)
2) Maybe. Depends if the benefits go through. The VA could just say, "Eehhhh, go fuck yourself."
3) New truck? No... Wrong on both accounts. Used car. (Something like a Honda Civic for $6k or less, but I want to buy one for less than $3k)

1) Doesn't matter if it was 20 years ago or last week. You're benefiting from something your father did.
2) Sure they could, and then you'd have to pay for college the way hundreds of thousands of other students pay for college--student loans, grants, and scholarship money. But somehow I sense that academic scholarships are not coming your way.
3) I'm trying to understand how you got to the point where you feel entitled to a car on your parents' dime. $3000 is not that hard to save up if you get a job, seeing as how you obviously have no expenses of your own.

Now, I know this might come as a surprise.
The money in question is not yours nor is it your decision on how it's spent or not.

This is why children should not be privy to their parents finances.

i'm privy to my parent's finances. i could clear out my dad's accounts right now if i so wanted to. however, I was raised with a sense of financial responsibility.

I need humility, a hard work ethic, and motivation so i can GTFO >_<

fixed for you.

This. Weak-assed rant from the OP.

To the OP: When you finally accomplish something of your own in life, then you'll have earned the right to rant about your parents.

/speechless.

Spoiled little shit. Where do you get your sense of entitlement from?

You make me want to puke. It's kids like you that give our generation (1980-now) a bad rap. I hope that your kids give you hell one day (in the event you have any.)

It's not completely privy... They fucking fill me in on the shit all the time and it's REALLY annoying because I get to know they have money and then they're spending it on extremely pointless shit.

I need a winning lottery ticket so I can GTFO. >_<

I bet you can't wait until your kids start questioning your financial habits.

OP.. You need to set back, take a deep breath.. and realize that the world isn't going to work the way you think that it should.

Do what you have to do for yourself and forget about everything else. I know it sucks.. but once you get a job and start complaining about the way the managers run their business and you get fired for the first time.. you'll start to realize shit doesn't always work the way you think it's suppose to. Even if you are 100% certain that you are right.. let it go.

Doing that will only help you...
