Parents decide to buy a 2007 Chrysler 300C for $22k. Parents decide to buy a brand new 2010 dodge ram for $47k(wtf? His truck was fucking perfectly fine before AND PAID OFF). They then decide to buy a new toilet(even though the old one was perfectly fine...? and this one looks way worse..). They've already bought all kinds of other crazy shit... Some we should have, some we shouldn't... I don't mind having central air vacuum system or garage door openers now, but now my father decides to buy some god damn 50" plasma from bestbuy today with my half-brother(The 27 year old lazy ass). This irks me because I know he was going for the cheapest POS if he could get... They always think they're good at getting good deals(Which is not true at all) and so now... I'm pretty sure he's going to come home and probably bring some monster HDMI cables with him, right? $300 cables do wonders, right? Jesus... I swear man. I'm just wondering how long it will be before we go back to the "we're broke" state. At this rate I'm guessing January...

I don't understand why they keep spending all their money they get and save on stupid overpriced and mostly unnecessary shit. (Seriously, my mom decides to get a car that is SMALLER AND LESS EFFICIENT than her SUV? She always bitched about needing space and SHE GETS A SMALLER CAR? What the fuck...)

I think at this rate I'll have to save my money for my car instead of just using them as the bank. All well... Who needs a social life...

That's the only thing I took out of your rant after skimming it.

Silver lining, even though it will require hard work and patience?

Now, I know this might come as a surprise.
The money in question is not yours nor is it your decision on how it's spent or not.

This is why children should not be privy to their parents finances.

Yep... It would be nice if I could just have them pay in cash for the car instead of me having to save my money for a year or however long it is until I have enough money for a car.

With that way of thinking, you're going to be in you brothers shoes not to far from now.

It's not completely privy... They fucking fill me in on the shit all the time and it's REALLY annoying because I get to know they have money and then they're spending it on extremely pointless shit.

I need a winning lottery ticket so I can GTFO. >_<

Referring to your parents as 'the bank' doesn't sit well with me. Get your own damn money instead of bitching how they spend theirs.

Boo-fucking-hoo. :|

Not really.. If my benefits pull through, I'll be at a university whereas my brother has never been to college and I think he got his GED after he dropped out.

So maybe I'll be somewhere similar to his position(Excluding being divorced, having an illegitimate kid, and being fat) but with a college degree...

ZOMG! Heaven forbid you have to actually take responsibility and buy something with your own money!

I mowed lawns for several years and I saved up all that money and bought my first car. my parents never paid a penny to help me buy it. I also started working a part time job when I was old enough (14 or 15) and after that I pretty much had to buy everything myself except for some clothes and food (although I had to use my own money for lunches).

lol, op is just pissed because he might not be able to leech off his parents!

:p I would not mind as much if all of this leeching was not promised and I was told when I grew up that I'm moving out after high school, etc... Then maybe I would have taken out the huge loans for college. But---, you know... That wasn't the case. I was told that I was going to go to a CC because a uni was too expensive for me... I was told that I would live with them because getting a full time job and going to college would be too hard... I was told a lot of things that told me to just stay with them and be this way.

So I listened because I'm supposed to do whatever people want me to do.

Le sigh...

They got a 720P 50" Plasma... Panasonic Veira or something.. Ugh. I mean really, it's 2009 and they got 720P on a 50"? they're old, so they probably won't be able to tell the difference anyway... and they won't be using it as a computer screen, so whatever...

What's the fucking point of buying a brand new TV then? Comcast doesn't offer that great of HDTV. It artifacts like a mofo from what I've seen...

Anyway, they don't have a stand or anything for it... it's going to sound like shit... They're not going to mount it anywhere... what the fuck---... >.<

EDIT: Oh and a good reason to buy 1080P regardless of what is going on now, would be because of future proofing for when 1080P is sent over cable/whatever.

It is their money, they can do with it whatever they want.
So, when are you going to move out of their basement and stop sucking on their teat?
