I went out to lunch with my co-worker who is black. We went to lunch at the mall which is a pretty ghetto mall, meaning it's not King of Prussia or Mall of America. Anyways, as we're walking into the mall entrance, my co-worker stops to say hi to someone. I proceed to walk in and as Im entering, there are two black men who are walking towards me. I thought nothing of it; i glanced at them and then stopped and waited for my co-worker.

While we were eating our lunches, my co-worker tells me that as he was walking into the mall, he saw the two men walk past me staring at me like they wanted to fight me. Keep in mind that we're both wearing suits. Then my co-worker tells me that he hears one of them say "look, the white guy is scared to walk into the black mall without his black friend."

It just got me thinking, why would someone just want to start trouble for no good reason. It just kind of pissed me off that I was minding my own business, and I didnt even notice these guy's behavior; yet these two guys felt the need to try to intimidate me and make a smart a$$ comment.

Looking for trouble would be if they said that to your face.
They didn't, so, I'd say they were just being stupid

Because white people are generally afraid of predominately black areas, and for good reason.

Baltimore is nasty and yet Annapolis is so freaking nice.

Since they saw you in 'their' mall with your black friend, they assumed that you were too scared to go there by yourself, so they wanted to beat your a$$ because you shouldn't be there because it's 'their' mall, and because you not only brought someone with you protect them, but also because he was black, so it's kind of like you're using one of their own to protect yourself from them. All of this just pissed them off enough to want to beat your undoubtedly racist and repressive white a$$.

Yep, I love Annapolis, especially in the summer time. I go to Baltimore maybe twice a year, and I live about 20 minutes from both cities.
