What kills me, too, is the atrocious shipping that sellers charge on ebay. $18 to ship a hard drive??? Okay, maybe if the guy was shipping it to me here in the USA, and he was in upper Mongolia, I could see it. But even if they have to go out and buy the box and packing materials, then ship it, there's NO WAY they're gonna spend $18, short of shipping it 2 day or overnight. :disgust:

There have been plenty of deals that I've seen, where the price on the item (even the buy it now price) is good, but they make up for a good deal with high shipping.......and I've passed every one of them by, for that reason alone.

Luckily, there's still good deals to be found. Like the other day, when I picked up a retail XP2500+ cpu for $78 shipped. Lowest price I found on pricewatch was somewhere in the vicinity of $100. :)

The high shipping is to cover the Paypal/Ebay fees. I agree, though, it's dumb.

eBay has some of the DUMBEST people frequent the site. People often bid without even reading the product description -- which is why they often pay $$$ for auctions with information instead of for the product.

I once had someone pay close to retail for a broken motherboard that I clearly stated in the product description. Of course, I didn't state it in the title but hey, I don't see a problem with taking advantage of the stupid.
