Every generation since the dawn of time has believed that the world would end within their lifetime. And guess what? They were right.

no not really. it's only now that we have begun to screw with the natural order of the world in a way never imagined before.

No really. Except a thousand or more years ago, the doomsayers would say that we would be punished for sinning against "God's will." "Natural order" or "God's will," it's the same thing.
And I'll say again, they were right. Your world won't live past this century. Everybody dies. Get over it.

today's world is a very secular place. i'm not talking about the "natural order" of things in a religious way, so all the religious doomsayers are irrelevant.

tell me when have human beings ever exploited the natural resources of the world in this manner? never. when have we developed more powerful weapons before? never.

How are the religious doomsayers irrelevant when you sound just like them?

Your arguments are practically identical. "Has there ever been a more wicked generation than this one? Surely God will punish us!"

Wake up, pal.

i "sound" just like them? that's your argument? when i'm telling you again and again that I'm talking about it in a purely secular/scientific way. I may be dead wrong with my scientific opinion but why the hell do you keep comparing me to religious doomsayers?

Sorry, but there is nothing secular or scientific about your doomsaying. Or did I miss the part where you provided scientifically-derived and fact-based observations and measurements to support your hypothesis? By which I mean beyond the chicken-littleisms of "OMG we've build weapons and exploited the environment, we're all going to DIE!" and then pretend to yourself that you're being scientific.
