well, if we believe Obama, us typical white people are all too racist and too busy crossing the street to hide from black people to vote for him anyways.![]()
Seriously though, I think that statement by Obama let his true feelings slip through;
Obama: Grandma 'Typical White Person' Fearing Everyone She Doesn't Know
The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity. But she is a typical white person. If she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know. . .there's a reaction in her that doesn't go away and it comes out in the wrong way.
When he says this about typical white people he is prejudging all white people, which makes him prejudice by definition.
I feel like I should try and get a sticky thread made or something where it's titled "All the people claiming white people aren't scared of black people read this".
As I've mentioned several other places, this fear reaction is SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN TO EXIST. It doesn't make you a bad person for having the feeling, but it's there. Obama knows this, every rational person in America knows this. Hell, I have this feeling myself. When he says the typical white person has this fear, he is speaking a fact. If you don't like facts, I'm sorry.
Don?t you think using some alleged primeval instinct as excuse to declare that all White people are racist thus any time the favor is returned is justified is reaching just a little bit.
The Fact is everyone one fears an unpredictable entity even Blacks: for example a lot of people, Black, White, and Brown are apprehensive around Pit Bull?s and will even cross the street to avoid them, does that mean they have some ingrained physiological fear of Pit Bulls?
Of course not, it just means they simply know Pit Bulls are more notorious for violent attacks than any other breed of dog and don?t want to take any chances.
