This is why my wife and I have separate spending accounts that we funnel money into each month, because women have terrible logic when spending money and so I don't get frustrated when she buys retarded shit.

Max Depth, You are absolutely correct, I should have acted happy for her. Maybe I would have gotten some last night. This kept bothering me, I kept telling myself to "let it go" . But for some reason I couldn't last night.
I think I'm finally over it now, I'll ask her to dress up for me tonight and be nice to her.

Oh yeah.. She did buy me a $10,000 BMW motorcycle 2 years ago and also a beater bike this year for me to learn to ride.


I need to let it go..

there is great truth here. but they are very logical, in their own right. you gave her that money to spend, she was frugal and was able to get 3 times the product for the same price. win for both! she got 3 things and didnt spend extra money. be happy, she could have gotten all 3 and paid full price for them all.

You've never dealt with an office budget, have you. If a department has extra budget money at the end of the year because they've been frugal, they don't just give that money back, they find a bunch of junk to spend it on.

This is exactly the normal response to being given a budget; there's nothing unique to women here.

Ha, that reminds me of one of my past jobs where the office had a surplus and the administrator found an assload of toys to spend it on. He even spent $100 on a Logitech bluetooth mouse when it was brand new tech. for one of the directors who used the computer for e-mail and minor database work.

 
Women have no common sense.

It took me years to break my wife from looking at every sale she sees at the mall. I broke it by pointing at Structure every time we walked by and said, "Oh, A SALE!"

Over time she finally realized the truth. Sales are devices to suck you into the store. What's more amazing is why on Earth do women think that this shirt for $10 will never be had again.

And the cost for gas to go to these damned places. Going out to lunch to?

I have to correct that statement. It's not a budget that I gave her, it's a agreement between us on the price she would spend on 1 pair of boots.

She makes twice as much as you do, tolerates you dictating how much she can spend on herself, is responsible about spending money as a habit, buys you two motorcycles in two years, and you bitch that she bought herself a couple pairs of shoes on sale? Wow. You need to get over yourself.

Besides, by your logic, individual purchases over 100 bucks require you to agree to them, and if she got two additional pairs of shoes for 150, then it's reasonable to assume that each pair was under a hundred bucks. 😉

Buying something else on top of your original purchase when you could have saved money is stupid, but buying boots for $300 does NOT make women exclusively stupid. Especially when we men spend $300 on a video card. Neither purchase makes sense to the other side. 🙂

I agree.. though I wouldn't spend $300 on shoes,clothing or anything like that for myself.Clothing comes from the consignment shop, shoes from payless, personal care
items,makeup are free from CVS or Walgreens. If I can't get it for free or nearly free I don't need it.
