Purdue. In terms of selectivity, Purdue's Engineering department is MUCH more selective than its overall acceptance rate for everything else. But in terms of lifestyle and happiness, I would go to Penn.

Having graduated from Purdue I am biased. I did attend a couple Penn State/Purdue games in State College and was impressed. The engineering weed out class when I was there was Physics 152. It was much harder to take in the spring semester.

Impressed.. @ PSU? How is purdue anyhow. Nice campus?

Penn State football crowd was impressive. Any Big Ten school is good academically. Most of them are pretty big. Purdue's campus seems smaller then the rest. As an engineering major you will rarely go south of State St to the Ag campus (unless it's for an elective). I didn't really care for the dorms, I lived in Owen Hall for 2 years and made a lot of friends but there was no AC. There is a newer dorm with AC. I was much happier in an off campus apartment.

What about Rutgers? It's in state tuition for you and they offer an engineering major.
