I've always thought that one of the most incredible thoughts a person can conceive is that the fact that every one of you exists is an amazingly unlikely coincidence. Just think of the vast amount of events that occurred at the exact right moment and in the exact right place, which in turn led to your birth. I mean, there are so many things that could've easily occurred which would've led to many other possible worlds or circumstances...
For example, back in the beginnings of the Solar System, the early Earth was formed by collisions of smaller rocks until gradually the Earth took the current size and path around the Sun. Imagine what would've occurred if one of the small rocks that was supposed to collide with the early Earth actually took a different path and never came in contact with the early Earth. In all probability, we wouldn't exist. There wouldn't be life, nothing.
I've come up with many of such "what if" scenarios and for some reason people don't seem impressed.
This thought is so amazing that it makes me glad that I'm Catholic and I actually believe that God set up the whole thing, knowing that we would be the product of such unlikely events.
Of course, if you don't believe in God, then you gotta consider yourselves lucky. Nothing wrong with that. I am not against atheists or anything like that. It's just a thought.
