meh i havne't been into car audio really in like 5 years (still rocking my old stuff) and even I know alpine only produces solid headunits. their subs and amps are not worth it. spend your money elsewhere. i still rock my 300w PPI Art Series amp to my sub. now that is one quality amp.

Buy an Alpine M1000 for $300 on Ebay, wont run at 1000rms but will give you a nice boost compared to what you got now (maybe).

Edit: or buy this if you got $850 sitting around
