When soemone says one JL sub will hit harder than 10 Alpine subs... than yeah actually I am. Of course there are exceptions, but many people just like JL because they are told they are good and they cost a lot. They dont do any research, or go out and actually listen to anything. I've been reading forums and going to stores for the last 6 months after i purchased my car looking at subs till i have the money saved up to buy one. This is actually the first time anyone has had something bad to say about alpine. The W7 is definately better than a type R, but it also costs at least four times as much. I can get a Type R off of ebay for around $50, or new for $115. To me the choice is easy.

Its called sarcasm. Of course it won't hit harder than 10 subs...the point is you will get what you pay for. Trying to convince us that Alpine produces a quality sound is strenching it. Have you even seen and heard a W7. Not only does it produce a quality bass it pushes with hardly any room. There are plently of other choices out there that perform just as well and Alpine is not one of them.
