STFU. Still angry that you're a leftist moron? Who disagrees with that? Criminals shouldn't have guns yet your piece of crap obama wanted to arm the Syrian jihadists. At least be consistent but then again you're a typical liberal.

Also there are leftist scumbags who want to ban all guns.

Nobody wants to "ban" guns. We just want to keep them out of the hands of idiots like yourself.

Insane people shouldn't have guns. Children shouldn't have guns. Criminals shouldn't have guns.

If you disagree with this post, YOU shouldn't have a gun.

insane people can't legally purchase guns (if it shows up on their background check, that is)

children can't legally purchase guns.

criminals can't legally purchase guns.

but there are such things as people going crazy, irresponsible parents, criminals performing criminal acts to obtain firearms, and a black market. those things tend to circumvent the above.

Yes, writing up laws that says criminals shouldn't have guns will most definitely keep guns out of their hands.

If you think your post has any value, YOU are a grade A idiot.

Where in the US are insane people, children, and criminals allowed to have guns?

Perfect example of why gun grabber nutters are legally going nowhere.

There is something in the back of my mind telling me people just aren't meant to have "guns". I love shooting but its just not part of our culture.

i came to the conclusion is that in most countryes, buying a gun is kinda similar to buying a car insurance... we pray to not use it, but just in case... it's there!

while americans, looks to love guns as a sport... "i can hit a yy over xx feets", "the fastest shooter in the west" ..."look what a shotgun does to a watermelon, wow!!!"

ALLOWED?

Nowhere.

But a point the gun grabbers make (and are correct about) is that if you have plenty of them around, eventually a few are going to make their way into the wrong hands.

MY freakin argument is that banning them doesnt work either.

We tried banning so-called assault rifles and it helped not a bit.

Guns are objects. And like many other objects when they are used improperly they can cause harm and even take life. We also dont give children access to knives and matches and huge swimming pools and car keys. We dont leave them alone with dogs and those big paper cutters and pretty much any camping equipment or even power tools. Not even hand tools.

Any parent that does is not only a sorry piece of crap but is also asking for trouble.

Banning guns is pointless cuz it just creates a black market for the criminals dead set on getting them. We need to stop the SOURCE of crime, not the symptoms. Guns arent the problem. People with a desire to commit crimes are the problem. They wanna bring drugs across the border and and sell them. Thats a violent fucking industry and I guarantee working on that issue would reduce your "assault weapon" crime a hell of a lot.

The whole time I am travelling back with it in my backpack I felt very strange, it was a strange sensation being in public with a concealed firearm in my backpack even completely unloaded as it obviously was.

You probably felt that way because deep down you know you'd be safer if you had that thing loaded and holstered on your hip in case of trouble. And since you're in the UK, where violent crime is very high compared to the U.S., having the safety of a loaded gun on your hip can be important.

Either way, congratulations. An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.

100 years ago having guns was no big deal in the UK. The idea that it's "not part of the culture" is a myth propogated by advocates of civilian disarmament.

And now the UK has fewer guns, fewer freedoms, a similar amount of murder, and more violent crime.

And let's not forget that during World War II, the British didn't have enough guns to fend off an invasion! They literally borrowed guns from American civilians. It is unfortunately a true story! By the way, the Americans say, "You're welcome, mate."

OP, that tingling feeling is called responsibility. I got the same feeling at 15 the first time I drove a car and at 21 the first time I carried a handgun. It's the part of your brain responsible for morality telling you not to fuck up and cause harm to other people. If you didn't have that tingling feeling, than I would be worried.

Gotta keep in mind that the doctors in the UK are trying to ban large kitchen knives to cut down on the number of stabbings.

http://www.frontpagemag.com/2012/dg...-ban-on-long-kitchen-knives-to-end-stabbings/
They even banned sales of butterknives to minors because "they could be sharpened into deadly weapons." Statistically the UK leads the world in broken glass stabbings so bars (a.k.a. taverns) over there started serving beer in plastic cups. There's no end to the madness.

You're right, it's not in your culture. You've been trained to submit, to let your leaders think and decide for you, and the majority of your population are submissive followers. So it makes perfect sense that your adrenaline goes raging off the chart and you get scared of yourself when you have a small hunk of metal in your backpack.

I am proud to be an American, with the direction our US society is heading. Our founding fathers would be proud to hear people from the UK are terrified of this sort of thing.

One could map the progression and probably project the date at which all non-government Brits are legally required to wear hobbles and straightjackets at all times. You know, for the children.

Look at what you just posted and tell me if it seriously makes any kind of sense.
It made perfect sense. It doesn't seem like it to you because you're reading it with such a leftist slant that it appears to be Sanskrit. Try rotating the individual letters to the right 90 degrees and reading them slowly. For this exercise, it's okay to move your lips. Also, it was an attempt at making a point with humor, which does require higher brain function and some ability in abstraction, so you may be excused from this exercise with a note from your doctor.

And this is one of the reasons when I was growing up in the midwest we used to joke about Tennessee.
