It's streaming off my MCE box at home to my SmartPhone using Orb.

It's surprisingly good quality for a GPRS connection.

This is FVCKING COOL!

So Orb actually works then? Sweet.

I've been thinking about setting up an Orb system for when I travel with the folks, since my little brother has a Bluetooth-capable phone with unlimited internet and I have Bluetooth connectivity for my lappy. (It works rather well too) Can you fast foward, rewind, pause, etc.? Or is it live TV only?

Oh yeah, does it work for Linux? I'd like it to play nice with my MythTV box.

EDIT: Damn, no Linux support. Ahh well, as long as it can get stuff from Samba shares I'll be okay.

Live TV, mp3s, videos, photos, you can even download shows from a networked Tivo with an add-on. You can pause and skip items on a playlist as well as fast forward and rewind.

Perfect. The MythTV box I'm building will be running KnoppMyth, and since Knoppix includes a samba server I should be able to share the appropriate directories with a WindowsXP machine.

...you can do that, right?

What ports does Orb use? Would I have trouble using it on my campus network? I'd like to stream TV from a PC at home with a TV tuner to my desktop here at school.

Basically, if you're streaming to WMP outside your network, you don't have to open any. I don't think you'd have any problems on your campus network.

Wow, now this is exciting. My campus does not provide free cable and no one gets it since it's so expensive. If this worked I'd be able to stream from my home PC and watch TV on my deskop here!

But, damn, the tuner at home is a WinFast. Would have to buy another one to do this.

Isn't there any way to get it to work with other PCI tuners?

Are you serious? On a GPRS connection!? How is it that a webpage can take forever to load and yet your watching streamed video:confused: Whats the frame rate? 15FPS?
