He just finally realized he actually did have positions on issues and could express them(long story). His positions align him far more with the Republicans than Democrats. Now as to Libertarian - he probably would if they came close to holding similar views to his. The problem currently is that there isn't a Libertarian party that carries itself well. Far too extreme for most folks.
I'd vote Libertarian if they'd find a Conservative Libertarian who can lead that party and help define it better. I'd welcome a "union" of the Republican party and the Libertarians.

Almost every one of my family and friends are Republicans. I even have a son who has gone to the Dark Side of The Force, although he told me he was giving Edwards a good look because he doesn't like Bush. (But, since he clerked for a Republican Congressman I doubt he'll stray far from the fold.)

Tolerance really sucks though. Acting out is so much more fun.

That might happen, but i think you guys need to stop starting unecessary wars, increasing the government more than democrats and taking away our freedoms before we'd consider that
