I am drinking a No Fear Energy drink

SandEagle

Lifer
i have no clue how many cups of coffee that equates to... is this too much? doesn't taste much different from the rest of the energy drinks out there

From what I remember coffee has 100-150mg of cafine in it. So you aren't too far off. Except your drink probably has 20+g of sugar in it.

A jumbo sized breakfast blend from Starbucks can approach 500mg of caffeine.

A typical cup (8oz) is around 125mg.

And that is per serving. Is this a large multi-serving can or small single-serving can? If it's a large can there are 2-3 servings in it.

66g sugar 🙁

it's, a 16 oz can.....i don't think i can finish this

the numbers are for the whole serving

Do you think you would have started acting all amped up if people responded that 174mg caffeine = 8 cups of coffee, or something? I probably would, kind of like the O'Douls keg-switch routine.

The caffeine database. Handy little site, which also happens to have a handy calculator that shows you just how much of a particular beverage you would have to consume to die from a caffeine overdose. Assuming you weigh around 180, it would take just over 70 cans of Sobe No Fear to kill you. Hope you're thirsty! Unless of course you aren't trying to die, in which case you should probably avoid drinking that much of anything.

Energy drinks are stupid.

I'm usually a coffee drinker, but some mornings my gut just can't handle the fireworks that can follow a 16 ounce cup of joe.

An energy drink is a decent replacement when I need a lift without the colonic effects of coffee.

I recently discovered Viso energy drinks, and they're pretty good. The flavor is nothing to write home about, but with 300mg of caffeine and 100% RDA for 12 vitamins and 2 minerals, they're not only a great pick-me-up, they're a great hangover remover to boot. That, and they have 0 calories (the diet ones anyway), so no increase in the waistline when I pound 5 of them straight, then spend the next 12 hours twitching uncontrollably, blood shooting from my eye sockets.

win 🙂

Spike is pretty stout as well.

I used to drink a couple energy drinks a day when I worked the graveyard shift. Sometimes I would be sitting at work and notice a weird feeling in my chest like my heart was having irregular beats or something. Quickly stopped all those drinks.

I don't understand the whole energy drink thing. They taste like crap, the couple that I've tried anyway, and they have waayyyy too much sugar, so additionally unhealthy.

Why not just drink some coffee?

Some of them taste good, and some of us like too much sugar. Also, pretty much every one of them has a diet version without sugar now.
I already drink 15-25 cups of coffee per week!
