but man that schools expensive. 32K tuition is crazy. also touring any school (well any above saverage school) will leave you with the impression that it'll be a great place. thats why tours suck mostly.

Deferred 🙁. Better then rejected, but still not accepted. Was expecting rejection, so I'm semi-happy.

CALS: College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, majoring in Communications. Not exactly their most competitive major, but its obviously not an easy school to get in to.
We'll see what happens come late-March. It's a big long-shot, but its still a chance. Cornell was brutal with their decisions this year; tons of people with 2300+ SAT's and 4.0 GPA's got rejected and deferred. It really was all over the board. I'll be keeping them updated with anything noteworthy that happens to me from now until decisions time, but I can really only hope for the best.

I know someone in CALS right now, Atmospheric Science major. I think what helped him get in was a prior summer visit with the head of the department, and it wasn't during regularly scheduled visiting times. He made a one on one appointment to talk to the guy when he wasn't as busy.

So did bradT get in on ED or what?
Cornell is a really good school for practically everything... although, I'd have to say that if you plan on going to grad school try to keep your undergrad expenses down by going to a state school, get really good grades, and get into a good grad program.
