Hey bro, spell check. its MASTURBATE.
>>

WTF?!?!? AHAHA......damn it..AhaHA.......How true! My secret's out. 😀

😀
you guys are so bad~~ oh wait, that's exactly what I do before sleeping😛

There is not much you can do about whether you are a "day person" or a "night person." I think it is in the genes. Circadian rhythm, is what they call your cycles of sleep and waking, and your brain is hardwired with a certain preference. Caffeine is sure a terrific kick in the ass, though, for us "night persons" who have to function in the day time.

<< ... and I feel so awake between midnight and 4am.

This pattern is screwing me up really badly.

Will you suggest me some ways to deal with this?
>>

I have the exact same problem. I think it's just my natural rhythm. I fing exercise around 9-10 pm helps. And do not eat a large meal in the afternoon.

i suggest meditating while lifting dumbells and spanking it at the same time to make sure you go to bed at the right time😉

Maybe I'll practice Zen Buddhism and convince myself that night-time is actually day-time.

It's your insulin/melatonin levels that's causing this.

Okay, do this:

1. Try to stay away from simple sugars and bleached flours

2. Eat something for breakfast, except for fatty things like donuts or pastries

3. Go to a vitamin store and pick up a bottle of Melatonin. Get one where it dissolves under the tongue. Follow the instructions - just take one an hour before bed time

4. Being tired can actually be a sign of dehydration! Try to drink more water during the day

that will fix you right up. 🙂

ya know, this thread is very pro-male.

Where is the equality?

I want to hear something besides "spank" 'cause I don't think women spank it.

Any ideas?

Donuts or pastries are more sugary (have more carb) than fatty. If you are tired in early afternoon, try eat less carb for lunch. As mentioned previously, drink more water. Once you get back your day routine, you should be able to get your night sleep back, unless you have other psychological problem:Q.

<beavis> I poop to much, then I get really tired </beavis>

Maybe you have something like Hypoglycemia. I had it really bad when I was in highschool. Really screwed up my sleep patern. Go get checked out. But if not, just change your diet to lighter, fruiter meals during the day and eat well at night, not too late though. Then change your sleeping habit by going to bed earlier and waking up earlier. Don't nap if you can help it.

<< What does Melatonin do? >>

Melatonin is produced by your body, synchronized with the rising and falling of the sun. If your melatonin levels get screwed up, it can confuse your body's sleeping pattern, i.e., jet lag.

also a very powerful antioxidant

<< Change your sleeping/eating habits.

That having been said, most people do have a low point early to mid afternoon.

Yeah, that pretty much says it all. I have friends who don't eat lunch b/c it makes them sleepy. When I'm at school I usually stumble out of class at like noon, sleep for an hour, and then eat.

I have "normal" sleep patterns btw.

have you ever used melatonin yourself? i'm curious to see how well it works because i have pretty bad insomnia. at this point i'm willing to try anything i can to fix my sleep patterns. i've already tried diet, excersize and cutting down on caffeine, alcohol and nicotine. nothing seems to help much. =\

i always have a slump between 3 and 5 pm. i usually get through it if i get a nap beforehand, or if i drink coffee. working out helps too.
