when i get into those sucky cycles, i usually just dont sleep for one entire day. that way, by night of the next day, i'm tired again and fall asleep. when i wake up, i'm on a normal schedule. did this like every weekend in high school because i'd sleep till like 2 pm on saturday and sunday and then not sleep sunday night. by monday night, i'd be tired and fall asleep.
make sure to have something to do if you're going to do this. or else, if you're inert, you fall asleep because of the tiredness.
