LOL if you put pizza in the microwave for 3 minutes, unless it's on defrost you'll have a black, hard as a rock mess. Even on 60% power pizza needs no more than 60 seconds to be hot as fuck.

It depends on how you cook it. If you cover it with a piece of moist towel, it will probably not be very hard.

Yes it is. The whole reason cheese came about was it's ability to be stored at room temperature for a long time without spoilage.

Of course modern room temperature could be described as "cave like".

Its, not it's.

And no, cheese most likely came about by accident.

Cheese is aged at around 40-50 degrees f. Spoils rapidly if stored anywhere above that.

Leave some cheese on your kitchen counter at "room temperature" for a couple weeks, then get back to us.

just eat it. no need to pop it back in the fridge if it's already been out.

I have had food poisoning and I will say that was a horrible experience. It felt like a someone hit me in the gut and I was curled up in a ball for hours. Couldn't even sleep it off. Pizza's never given me a problem though.

It's fine. I would eat leftover pizza all the time. Who the hell thinks about refrigerating it when you're piss on yourself drunk and having a good time? Nobody. And then you eat the cold delicious pizza and drink more beer.

It helps your immune system and it's the American way.

10 minutes, tops

Except when you are actually hungry in which case that is ~10 minutes to long. :(
And plus its more the 10 minutes if you are actually heating up enough for a meal.
But I guess some people like cold oven heated pizza.

Just spray some Lysol on it to kill the germs first.

A couple of years ago, the wife's family came down for Thanksgiving. They got here on Wednesday afternoon, and we ordered a few pizzas for dinner that night.
They sat in the laundry room after that.

Her family then ate the rest that Saturday....after they had been sitting on the dryer since Wednesday night.
Nothing happened to them, although I was definitely grossed out.

If it takes more than 10 minutes, you're doing it wrong. Don't Pre-heat, just throw in the pizza, crank to 400. It'll be sizzling and browning in 10 minutes.

wow this thread is funny as hell. OP just eat the pizza it will be fine. Ive probably eaten hundreds if not thalsands of pieces of pizza after being out 24 hours + and never got sick from it. Pizza nowdays has so much salt on/in it i doubt it can go bad.

wait, there are people who don't microwave it after? I love all kinds of pizza and fast food but to eat any of it at room temperature is unthinkable.

Depends on the toppings... my Uncle's roommate used to pick up these 4' pizzas with 1" thick of cheese and set it on his fridge so he and my Uncle could eat a slice for weeks. He said it was fine as long as there wasn't any poultry on it but sausage can last. Yeah, I kinda cringed hearing this story too but then got curious. I've yet to have the guts to try it though.

Leave some cheese on your kitchen counter at "room temperature" for a couple weeks, then get back to us.

The word cheese is a very generalized word that covers varieties of styles. Very moist and wet cheeses will spoil in room temperature after a day or so and are not aged at all. Hard cheeses like parmigiano regianno wont spoil due to their moisture content being very low and the high levels of salt. Other cheeses wont spoil as long as the outer rind stays intact.

Yes cheese was mostly discovered by accident, but as the cheese making art developed, certain cheese were created that need no refrigeration at all.
