Sure. Dairy products left at room temperature for extended periods of time pose no health risks at all.

Should be fine...happens to college students all the time. Though don't be surprised if you get a case of diarrhea.

We used to eat pizza for breakfast that we forgot to put in the fridge in our drunken stupor in college. Nothing bad ever came of it...

You can..., but I wouldn't recommend it. The bacteria can grow on cheese rather quickly at room temperature (soggy and dark). Probably the worst it will do is leave you with a sore stomach or gas.

Cook it to 75C and you will be okay, but it will be obliterated.

I've done it plenty of times and have never had any issues afterwards.

You can just microwave or put it in the oven to kill any bacteria.

The first time you get a real case of food poisoning, you will stop considering things like this.

I am extremely careful with food.....

Me too, man. I don't mess around with expired meat, cheese, or food that has been left out.

I do it all the time. Keep it in the box in the oven so flies can't get at it. Lasts up to two days.

you will be fine, I've never gotten sick from eating left out pizza, and I've done it probably 60 times. The only way I'd say no is if you're one of those pussies who gets sick every time you eat fast food. People with weak stomaches tend to get sick over any little thing food wise.

There's a reason why those bags of mozzarella cheese last for months in your fridge. They put so many preservatives in it you could probably leave your pizza on the counter for a week and still eat it.

And that is a self fulfilling prophecy. You probably get food sick because of a weak immune system that can't fight off baddies because it's never used.

Left out pizza is perfectly A-OK to eat. No worries.

Well, my immune system is hardly weak. I just don't like being out for a couple days and vomiting everywhere. Granted it has only happened once in my life, but it was a bad enough experience to somewhat scar me.

Word. Yeah I'll definitely heat it up nicely before chowing down... It was a mistake pizza from work yesterday so it's a full 14" pizza. I'd hate to just throw it out.

Dorm refrigators aren't big enough to hold a pizza box and yet college students aren't dropping dead by the dozens.

You accidentally the whole thing??

:awe:

Yeah, I did it a handful of times my time in college. I tried to put it in the fridge when I was done, but sometimes I indeed forgot.

But I always nuked it before eating again. I like warm pizza, and prefer microwaved leftovers versus cold leftovers.

There are so many chemicals in the stuff on a Pizza, hell the Pepperoni I buy isn't even in the refrigerator section at the store. Sure I gotta put it in the fridge once I open it, but it can last a long ass time in my cupboard if not open. And a lot of pizza places around me don't even use real cheese, they use the stuff that's like 60% oil, which will last even longer out of the fridge.

Well not dead, but they are sitting on the can.

Most food poisoning is mild and takes the form of "peeing out your ass."
Most people dont even realize that they are experiencing food poisoning.

"76 million illnesses, 325,000 hospitalizations, and 5,000 deaths in the United States each year. Known pathogens account for an estimated 14 million illnesses, 60,000 hospitalizations, and 1,800 deaths"

So while eating a slice of pizza that was left out for 12 hours isnt going to kill you, it could certainly give you the shits.

There is a reason the county does annual inspections of food-service establishments. One of the main things they do is check the temperatures of the holding-bins for food that is already cooked.
