fuck Hulu

Maybe if you guys actually mattered to the market they would cater to you. But too few of you sit at your computers all day watching TV and torrenting our IP when you should be working, that you have no money to actually _buy_ anything the advertisers are advertising. No, you have nobody to blame but yourself for not getting hulu in your country. /sarcasm.

I could care less. It doesn't have half the shows I watch and most of the time it's missing older seasons for the ones I do. Good if you enjoy most of the slop on TV and don't have a DVR.

We'll probably be replacing one of our laptops in the near future, its screen hinge is breaking. I might turn the old one into something just to play Hulu and things on our TV.

I have 10Mb/s cable and beating SD is not exactly setting a high bar.

Limited selection? Are you serious? It's intended to be a broadcast medium for the major networks, and as far as that goes it basically carries every single top show and then some. The ONLY show I can think of offhand that Hulu does not provide that I would like to see is Mythbusters.

Network TV shows and a small set of good films = limited slection.

Shit as far as selection goes Hulu makes Netflix look like an ant next to a Airbus.

Yeah, low bar.

I'm streaming Hulu on my Xbox 1 through XBMC, all you have to do is put a plugin in the right folder and you're good to go.

What the shit. It has the entire Showtime library, some 600 movies. How is that limited?

Hulu Defense Force?

Check out the list of all time popular films on Hulu. I have no desire to watch any of that shit.

I just hate it when people getting something for free sit there and bash the hell out of it. If you were paying for Hulu that would be one thing, as they'd have a level of service and expectations to meet. But Jesus Christ, you type in a URL and watch popular TV shows for free and you're complaining?

Just seems like you could do something more constructive. Like build a long pier. And then take a short walk off it for the rest of us.

Sure free, but I am watching commericals, so... And bashing the hell out of it?

Bad quality, limited selection. Not canceling cable anytime soon but Boxee + Hulu/ABC/NBC/CBS/Netflix etc is a good deal.

Does that sound like bashing the hell out of it?

..or post on the Internet about how people shouldn't put down a website, now THAT is constructive . Please save this sanctimonious crap for your Hulu blog, you sound like their fucking President & CEO. People are allowed not to like things based on their own experiences and expectations last I checked.

Who's "bashing" it anyway? It seems like he just wasn't impressed with their movie selection, and last I checked (I subscribe to the channel) the entire Showtime library isn't anything spectacular. It's hard enough finding something to watch on their On Demand list as it is. Just because a service is free doesn't mean its beyond criticism.

I just hate it when people think they need to prove that something they like is impossible for others not to. I bet you're a hardcore Tool fan as well.

Wait a min., they have "Howard the duck" w/ Leah Thompson in multiple tight outfits...=WIN!!!. Also "The Milagro Beanfield War" is very good as well..

Rocky III
Rudy
Muppets From Space

I think we have identified the problem here, and it's definitely not with Hulu..

fuck Hulu

I'd love to watch Doctor Who but BBC is UK only.

Fuck BBC then

Haha. CBC carries it too. Or at least it did last I lived in Canada.

Hulu is one of the best things ever on a University campus where torrenting is slow/stupid and the connection is fast so everything can be streamed in HD. The selection of TV shows is good enough for me. The Office, and a few other random shows every once in a while is really all I want.

What's the easiest way to mod an XBox for this purpose? I have one that's been sitting around collecting dust but if I can get XBMC on it, it'll have a whole new life.
