Nowhere in this thread is the mention of anyone blowing oneself up. To answer your question NO. But defending yourself/family by any means neccessary.

By todays standards George Washington and the Contentinal Army was a terrorist group? Why because they rebeled againts their king and they did not fight fair. The milita would hide behind trees and shoot officers from 200 yards away while the red coats would stand in formation out in the open taking volley after volley. Yeah, Hiding behind a tree is evil.

Back to the question at had

According to the Geneva convetion non military forces conducting military type operations are protected if they distinguish them self from non combant civilians(such as an arm band or insiginia.) These forces are also protected by the POW law(not that the Ruskies would follow them)

Also it should be noted that during The cold war the USSR was not afraid of the US military however they were afraid of the american milita(Citizens with guns who will fight) because we do not fight fair.

your situation would certainly be a mess, but i think bush is done invading anyone. with his approval ratings in the tank he wouldn't dare. while he doesn't have to worry about reelection he does have to worry about damage control for the party. (which he isn't showing MUCH concern about now, so who knows)

Well in the spirit of utterly ignoring the topic at hand and instead focusing on total irrelevancies I'll point out that my post doesn't say anything about "blowing up oneself" so what are you talking about?

If a small group of Americans started blowing up the rest of us who were trying to hold together our democracy by voting and such, I bet THOSE FEW would be called terrorists

You are painting an inaccurate parallel that is not equal but favorable to the direction you want the argument to take.

I like how you are attempting to come up with an argument to support the terrorists ... more of the same from you guys.

What about blowing up traitors or collaborators? Does that count?

Russian PM Putin announces to the world that the US is a terrorist state (for engaging in 2 illegal wars)

And which wars would those be? Certainly not Iraq, since the U.S. Congress passed a resolution authorizing force and the U.N. has no statutory authority (real or imagined) to declare a war "legal" or "illegal."

Nice mental masturbation "hypothetical" question though. I'm sure you'll get lots of moral support in your fantasy however.

... Say Russian PM annoouces to the world that the US is a terrorist state for any other valid reason...

The reason could be anything, hence hypothetical.

Then Russia would be crushed, there would be no need to take up arms against Russia, they have neither the means or the will to invade America. We have many allies that would defend us if we were attacked by Russia anyway.

Completely missed the point of the thread? Its a hypothetical world where its a 1v1 fight between Russia and America, and where Russia is equal in power.

Might as well just refer to as a fictional thread ... Russia would most likely have lost a conventional war with the US at the height of their military power & that was quite some time ago.

Um dude if russia decides to go to war with us there is no more world. The big elephant in the room no one talks about these days is still the 3000 or so ICBMs they have pointed right at us.

Eh I'm not so worried. According to some tebetian monks; aliens will get invloved the moments just before the nukes fly.
