No - You did him a favor: He got a nice, clean bullet passing through his brain instead of a smelly sh*t~covered spincter. D:

Yea, kinda like a dog. Most people would not want to see their pet suffer in pain. So they "put the poor animal out of its miserly"

If the guy jumped out of 100 story building, he is probably going to be messed up for life - if he survives. So just shoot him anyway.

and he'd be more messed up for life - if he survives both the fall and the shot 🙄

You could argue murder, by argueing that he fired the bullets into the 'body' to be sure he was dead, meaning that he was not sure and was intending to kill him, but might not be able to get a conviction on that. More likely, he has committed manslaughter. He, through reckless action, caused the death of another person.

don't forget the whole conspiracy to commit murder, thing.

also, does Charlie have any culpability in this? I assume it was a sting, right--though it reads more like a setup to extort money from Al.

I mean, if Charlie wanted to arrest the dude, Al would be in cuffs before the deed happened.

I'm sure I'm not remembering it exactly as it was presented. In the hypothetical, A is convinced that B is dead, and shouts something like "I wish I killed you myself!" before opening fire.

Also, I'm pretty sure it can't be conspiracy if you're "conspiring" with an undercover police officer that has no intention in participating in the conspiracy.

ahhh. is that somewhat related to entrapment?

and am I reading it right that the officer and his buddy would be extorting money from the other guy? seems like a bozo plan if it really was a sting. seems like the only conspiracy, then, is between the two cops.

:hmm:

that's how ti opens--it claims to be pulled form the newspaper, but I'm not sure how true it is.

teenager on top of apartment building, suicidal, jumps off, ignorant that nets had been installed that week due to painters.

meanwhile, regular domestic dispute is going on several floor below. usually unloaded gun was loaded, in secret, and woman fires the gun at crazy husband, misses, and shoots the kid as he's falling past the window. bullet kills him, and he would have lived otherwise due to having been saved by the nets below.

woman is arrested for manslaughter.

:\

Yep, involuntary manslaughter.
