But really, what did I say wasn't true? Except for CNN's misreporting of Rush's location? Not really my fault though...

Well, let's look at the facts: (1.) Hypocrite: Rush has railed against drug users in the past on many occasions. Claiming they should all be given jail time. Being a drug user himself who has gotten off without punishment now makes him a hypocrite. (2.) Drug-User: Rush has obviously admitted this himself, so I don't think there's any question about this item. (3.) Broadcasting from undisclosed location - as I said CNN reported it, I simply made a speculative joke about it. Don't have a sense of humor? Hey don't blame me :)

Hmmm, if you say so Corn. But really, what did I say wasn't true? Except for CNN's misreporting of Rush's location? Not really my fault though... Nice to see the dittoheads all worked up over nothing though. :)

Not your fault for the title? Was that what CNN was running as their headline? Nice to see you felt it neccesary to parrot misinformation though;)

CkG

Hmmm, so Rush is NOT a hypocrite drug-user? Wow, news to me. Maybe you can lay out your case considering it differs significantly from reality.

Purposely obtuse are we?
Are you being honest with your information? Or did you purposely pick a supposedly juicy bit of info out of an article and trumpet it? It's too bad that info was false...and could have been verified if someone had taken the time to become informed. Did you just believe everything you read as true? Did you check it for authenticity? Hmmmm....yeah - reality alright;)

CkG

So you fact check everything you post on here Cad?

Well, we know YOU don't.
On the contrary Mill, if you have spent any time here you would know that for the most part tnitsuj usually post links to back up his posts.

You didn't call it a joke when you defended it against Corn. You tried to blame it on CNN. Did CNN splash that tidbit on their headline? Did they print it as a joke? You most certainly didn't post it as a joke otherwise you'd have jumped all over Corn with that excuse instead of just blaming CNN. You believed CNN when you posted this, did you not?

Fact: Rush admitted to being addicted to prescription painkillers.
Fact: Rush has not "gotten off withoug punishment" and infact hasn't even been charged with anything yet(which is most certainly not something he has control over)
Fact: You have nothing but speculation as to what Rush may or may not have done in relation to his use of prescription drugs.

Thanks for playing....:)

DM:

Thank God Rush wasn't giving his interns bjs. Sheezh, it's only drugs. You know, it's not like it's SEX. Drugs and war are ok, right. :) (Half right isn't bad for this forum.)

Anyway, hypocrisy is alive and well in talk radio.

Tnitsuj's posts are almost always backed up with a link and are usually very, very good. Even the ones I don't agree with. :)

"Fact Checking" is a bit different that posting a link. I know Justin always gives links, but it isn't as if he independently verifies anything.

Well considering the nature of this and most Political Forums I would think linking the sources is about as much as anyone should or would expect.

Dude, where is your point? I said that CNN reported it. I made a joke about it. Big hairy deal Cad, you got nothin'.

Fact: Rush admitted to being addicted to prescription painkillers.
Prescription painkillers = drugs. Oh I suppose you'll paint his drug abuse as no big deal. Figures.

Fact: Rush has not "gotten off withoug punishment" and infact hasn't even been charged with anything yet(which is most certainly not something he has control over)

How has Rush been punished then? The State Attorney is investigating. But I guess there's nothing there, right Cad?

A law enforcement source in Palm Beach County, where Limbaugh owns a $24 million oceanfront mansion, said last week that Limbaugh's drug use is still under investigation by the state attorney's office.

Well my statement stands. No one fact checks anything. Everyone reads the same articles and links and makes their own opinion.

It's really not too cool for someone to criticise another member for posting a misleading/false thread title when the acuser is guilty of it himself. ;)

Something about Sharpton calling Dean 'anti-black'.

And what's all this "mystery" Rush is hyping?

'A whole lot of stuff ... I can't tell you yet'

...and...

He also said "there is a whole lot of stuff I can tell you that I can't tell you yet." He said it's not because he's afraid, adding, "There's even more honesty to come."

What? Is he going to tell us he's gay or something? I don't think his listeners can handle that right now ;)

:p Yeah yeah yeah - have your little fun but you both know why that title was put there. Sharpton did infact accuse Dean of being anti-black, what do you think promoting an "anti-black agenda" means;) You can obfuscate that issue all you want but Sharpton was infact insinuating that Dean is a racist...it's what Sharpton is good at.

Now back to Rush.

DM - the "mystery" is because there is still an ongoing investigation and Rush isn't stupid - he's not going to make a comment that YOU or the Rush-haters will take out of context - kind of like his "jail them" comment. He doesn't have to make a statement or tell his story if he doesn't feel like it. I'm sure he will, in time, but until them you can keep ASSuming and dreaming up wild scenarios.

Rush is back, no more free ride for you libs;) :D

You're right. I can't stand hypocrites. By Rush Limbaugh's own words, he should now be in prison. PRISON TIME FOR RUSH LIMBAUGH!! I used to see him on TV years ago, until I got bored. I didn't think much of him then and I think less of him now. IMO he's just another loud mouth who made his fortune on the radio. He's also IMO an ignoramus who spouts dangerous incorrect opinions to his ignorant flock. For example, he used to say on TV there was no global warming, an idiotic thing to say. It's dangerous to have such an IMO hypocritical ignorant man communicating his empty thoughts to the masses. :light:

agreed. Rush is a very stupid man that makes stupid statements. It's ok for Rush to go on Tv and tell millions of people global warming doesn't exist (a fact he obviously pulls out of his a$$), but CAD get's offended when DM makes a joke. To CAD, Rush isn't stupid. Stupidity is relative, and CAD is quite stupid himself.

Show me some proof the global warming is occuring as a result of human activity and not just natural temperature fluctuation.

12-4-2003 Agents Seize Limbaugh Medical Records

Rush Limbaugh told listeners on his radio show Thursday that prosecutors in Palm Beach County have seized medical records from four of his doctors, but he called the investigation a "fishing expedition."

reading from the statement by attorney Roy Black. "Unfortunately, because of Mr. Limbaugh's prominence and well-known political opinions, he is being subjected to an invasion of privacy no citizen of this republic should endure."

"What these records show is that Mr. Limbaugh suffered extreme pain and had legitimate reasons for taking pain medication," Limbaugh said, reading from the statement by attorney Roy Black.
Hmmmm, isn't this what proponents of medical marijuana usually say?

Once again the illegitimate news company CNN shows how desperate they are for news. Maybe next they will run an article on how running for Governor ruined Gary Coleman's love life.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger.
After all, Rush should take personal responsibility for his own actions.
Don't you think?
