$68...damn thats friggin crazy

Yeah, it really is. In Nov of last year, I was happy to find 2GB kits for $200. That is almost triple the current price. Amazing.

I got mine from ewiz, one DOA, have to RMA them. To me, STT is not high quality ram not good for OC.

well, I cannot say anything to the OC factor (although others have) but so far I have used 11 or 12 S-RIGID 1GB DIMMS (and a couple 512s) in the past couple weeks in many systems and not one of them had a problem- memtest86 and prime95 stress tested. But I also knew enough to manually set the bios on the motherboards down to 1.8v for the memory voltage. Every manufacturer has duds- even Kingston Hyperx- who supposedly pre-tests. So as far as quality goes, so far, I have encountered nothing to cause me to feel they are not good, or even excellent quality. And we will certainly continue to use them as our main memory for our shop.
ps- and I love the built-in heatspreaders you get for these super low prices 😉

pps- Warning for memory buyers- PQI is poor quality and absent minded assembly and heatsink design- I got tons of 512MB DDR DOAs/test failing DIMMS last year and they dont even mount proper heatsinks on their TURBO series, which I recently had the pleasure of encountering. Where the raised metal "arrow" design is it doesn't even come in contact with part of the chips below them and they sometimes bow a little in the middle making them trap heat instead of pulling it off the chips. And the heatsinks are mounted so low they keep RAM from being tightly inserted into deep DIMM slots.
link so you can see the turbo series heatsinks I am referring too:

I see ZZF has a 2gb kit of Corsair memory for $78 shipped Text

The Twin2X2048-5400C4 is a 2048 MByte matched pair of DDR2 SDRAM DIMMs. This part delivers outstanding performance in the latest generation of dual-channel DDR2-based motherboards. It has been tested extensively in multiple DDR2 motherboards to ensure compatibility and performance at its rated speed. This memory has been verified to operate at 667MHz at the low latencies of 4-4-4-12

I need some for a new system although not sure which to buy..

This *is* insane. Everyone keeps waiting for the prices to level out or go back up. You don't know when to jump. I thought I got a good deal at $ 100 shipped for these a month ago, so I jumped. When's it going to stop? And they are running at over 833 mhz on the OC.....

Good grief, same here. I thought I got a slammin' deal, and bam the prices are still dropping. The good news is that I'm playing some great games now and that's worth the mula to me 🙂

Just picked up two of these or (4gb total) from ZZF for $156 shipped.
Would these work with this EVGA 122-CK-NF66-T1 LGA 775 mobo?
I'm in the process of building the first Intel e6600 based rig.

Unless you're running Vista, XP won't use all 4GB, more like 3GB

edit If you are running XP Pro 64 bit, then up to 12 GB.

In any regard, should work with that mb.

Planning on using Vista 64 Premium.
Currently using x64 (see sig) and very happy wit its performance.
Thanks

PS. BTW, how well these rams overclock?

Check again, the same ram with the Platinum heatsinks is the same price. I got a thread about it here...

for AMD (socket AM2 X2)

how much of a different does 667 to 800 give in real usage? I looked at some synthetic benchies...but synthetic benchies are never the real story

Another price drop on the DDR2 667 in OP's non-Froogle link. Now $62 and free shipping.

Guess it's time for me to order more. 😀

Op edited. Limit 1 for everything it seems.

Last week I had to order the 1GB single sticks because they had "Limit 1" on the 2GB kits. It was a little cheaper anyway though, IIRC.

Just what I was thinking. I paid $124 shipped for 2 1GB sticks about two months ago and am more than pleased with them. At $62 shipped for 2 more 1GB sticks I may have to jump on this even though I left my desktop in storage over the summer and have only my laptop...

This is the cheapest I have ever seen RAM.

these prices are probably more realistic than one would think -- we're just used to getting shafted like our current gasoline situation! 🙂 enjoy!

deal just slightly died- from $62shipped to $59.98 +$6.50 shipping -booo
at least I snagged a set under $62 free ship about 30min ago...

I have looked all over but cannot find what voltage this ram runs at. Anyone know what it is for the 800 ram? 1.8? I cannot adjust my voltage on the Intel board I have.....
