Because they do (A) that pisses off customers.

Then they announce that they can continue to do (A) because people will still buy their games. So basically a big fuck you.

Then they get hugely bad press and are voted as worst company 2 years running.

Then, in an attempt to gain favour back they do (B)

THEY NEED TO CORRECT (A) there's a distinct difference between doing (A) and then doing (B) to somehow compensate for it, vs simply not doing (A) to begin with. Refer to my "being punched repeatedly in the face" analogy.

Paid $25, for the games and charitable reasons. Currently listening to Sims 3 and Battlefield 3 OST in its full FLAC glory. Glorious PC gaming master race, doing charity and be cheapskates at game purchases. :awe:

Dude, you're evil! Pushing the average up? tskk...

I don't believe in charity.

Charity fosters weakness.

We should toss defective babies off a cliff Spartan style, again.

Actually, I've given to charities... Planned Parenthood and World Wildlife Fund.

So I'm joking... sort of.

Its more of appreciation to the developers of what was thousands of man hours and millions of lines of code, given "free" in the name of charity. EA is still evil, but you can't fault hard work of the individuals who made it. Besides, its just $25. ()🙂

But is A "bad", or is it just not preferential to you? You say punched in the face, I say serving food you don't like. Far as EA goes I only care about BF and whatever Bioware puts out, so with the exception of DA2 not being as good as DAO I'm pretty happy with "the food". That's not everyone's experience by any means, but I think there's an important distinction between the subjectively "bad" ("I don't like it") and the objectively "bad" (actual "harm"), especially with regards to that broken poll.

Personally, I think a company 'giving back', regardless of their motivation for doing so, is in some ways even more important than the products that they actually sell because these big companies are able to provide the kind of large scale funding for charities that can really expand their horizons of what is possible. So I think it's important to encourage that behavior (almost) above all else from for-profit businesses.

Just a heads up... Email from HB

Hey there,

We had a brief outage with PayPal which was caused a delay in delivering bundles, which resulted in several thousand support emails.

Love,
Humble Bundle

Looks like we hammered their servers pretty well. They charged my bank account twice. I did receive two sets of keys though. However did not purchase this with PayPal. Full faith that they will correct it and if by rather odd chance they don't then it's just more money towards charity.

Medal of Honor Airborne is a good game. Got a little crazy towards the end though. I think the devs ran out of ideas for "realistic" combat missions.

This is your chance to be the bigger man and send me one of the keys!:sneaky:

Man this is a great bundle. I'm not really a fan of zombie games so I'm hesitant to start Dead Space, but wow what a power bundle.

Calling the enemies in Dead Space "zombies" is a bit of a stretch. It's not really a zombie game.

I never tried to play Dead Space with m/kb; I thought it was perfect for the Xbox 360 controller, and I never had any issues playing that way.

One thing that's great now about Dead Space is that it works flawlessly with eyefinity, and the increased FoV makes it a much more enjoyable experience. When I first tried to enable multi-monitor years ago it would hard-crash my system. Someone obviously patched it.

Agreed. I have grown warmer and warmer to using a wireless 360 controller on PC games. To the point now where I even use it on a lot of shooters. Even if I'm using my monitor rather than my TV, sometimes.

Multiplayer shooters I still use m/kb.

and Dead Space is an awesome series btw. I still need to play Dead Space 3 - I only got a little ways into it.
