Please try to use complete sentences. The cited article may lend credence to your first statement but, says nothing about your second claim.

the ability to murder each other en mass with utmost efficiency is the hallmark of true intelligence. everyone knows this.

seriously though, I've always thought crows were fairly smart. sometimes I see them congregate and start this massive cawing session with this almost musical pattern. they annoy the heck out of me though by being obnoxiously loud. I wonder if can construct some kind of ultrasonic directional "sound beamer" to drive them away.

I think that's just you.
Everybody knows about alpha males and stuff in wolves. Hell, some even apply those theories directly to humans, so they surely don't feel different from animals.
