I loved it. I thought it was better than spiderman... I am not really sure why you disliked it so much, but I don't really care, I thought it was very entertaining.

all the people who say the movie sucked must of never read the COMIC book. The ONLY deviation was how BB became the Hulk. But other than that it was dead on accurate. The fight scenes were perfect, watch the hulk more closely and you truely grasp his strength. You do this by watching how clumbsy he is when he fights, people in rage are not graceful fighters, but his strength makes up for his lack of fighting technique. Of course i knew the character was CG, he's big, green, and insainly strong; you show me an actor that can throw a 70 ton tank a mile than you can bitch about Universal using CG. Given the CG though, i would say it was VERY well done; take a good look in the theater at his physique and you will see the effort put into the CG (I saw the super bowl add and it is like a new hulk in the movie--big difference).
Another thing is with the tv series, BB didn't view the hulk creature for what it was--a CURSE. The TV series made me want to be BB and become the Hulk, but the comic book and movie make me greatful i'm not BB. The hulk is BB's gift for the tv series and BB's chaotic curse in the comic and movie. The comic book showed the Hulk as BB's curse and so did the movie; hence the character development and resistance of BB to turn into the Hulk. And about the lack of action, i guess then a 20+ minute fight/rage scene is considered short.
A couple of scenes made me laugh so hard i almost pissed myself and others made me go in awe when you got to see the Hulk's strength and rage (eventhough I know the Hulk's true strength was never limited in the comic book).

For those of you who saw the illegal version and bitch about the quaility, you get what you paided for--nothing. Watch the legal version and if you don't like the movie then don't read the comic because you would hate that to.

BigJelly dead on. I was a hulk comic collector a decade ago, and I must say the movie got him down just right.
the cgi was unbelievably awesome. the story was fine. i saw it two times on an ultrascreen this far and I loved it. the talking did get to me the second time around, but IMO it was necessary the first time. besides, as with the xmen, everybody complained that there was no character development. the hulk invests a lot in its characters and I appreciated it, particularly because I remember the comic book so vividly.
I am also a biochemist. I loved the science early on. fun stuff, lots of cool effects with cells.

Ang Lee is a master. I can't believe he nailed a comic book so well. I wouldn't have guessed that he even knew who the hulk was before he got the script. this is the best movie of the summer IMO. How can one defend matrix reloaded after seeing this. Now, IMO MR was awful.

I liked it, 7/10 I'd say.

Some scenes just had me grinning from ear to ear, particularly the scene with the tanks. It's a spoiler, but the part when he used the top of the tank as a shield once he realized that he was getting shot at, just seeing how he reacted to that was, simply put, awesome. They did a great job of giving the CG Hulk emotion, no mindless grunting, all the grunts and yells were put there for a reason, you knew he was pissed, they did a great job of conveying that. Another thing that came out well is when they show in detail BB's transformation. He starts seeing blurry, losing control, etc....it made me believe that he was going through some giant adrenaline rush...

very cool flick, at least go see it for the action scenes.

Some of the action scenes were TOO DARK. You couldn't see what the hell was going on.
There was too much talk and not enough action, and the end dragged on for 30 minutes more than it should have.

I am going to say that it dragged on for 2 hours and 19 minutes more that it should have.

I saw it yesterday and thought it was pretty good but not to the level of spiderman and x2.... IMO they could have lost all the dreams that Bruce had (I know its in the books but it wasnt transferred to the screen well at all and actually brought the flick down a few notches IMO) I was sitting there thinking this is stupid and in a good movie your never supposed to "remember" your watching a movie.... The split screen was cool for about 5 mins but there was way too much use of it. Action and story were good and the CGI was very good too. Overall I give it 7/10.

i think it was a decent genre film-script done extremely well. at the end, some of it seemed rushed and it started to fall apart but, other than that, i think it has more staying power as a movie than most comic book movies. the characters were interesting and it reminded me of what marvel once was (and is again attempting to be)

Ha! Figures you would say that.

Myself and most everyone else in the movie theater thought that movie was a long boring piece of crap. I was so tempted to just walk out and go take a nap instead of being so bored with that garbage, but, I just closed my eyes in the theater and waited for more stuff to blow up. Too bad it nothing really did and instead I had to listen to a bunch of fools drone on about crap that no one in the place cared about.

The audience in the theater looked so dead. Everyone was just shifting around and when the end credits came on everyone sounded so releived and got out as fast as they could.

Only thing good about the movie was I got a free toy. What a waste of time.

Oh, and the CG was garbage. It looked like a cartoon stuck into a real life movie. I don't buy that "suspend your disbelief" junk when I see a movie like this. If they cant make it look good then dont bother. Bah.

It did just exactly what it was meant to do...entertain.

Judging by your reference to the "leaked movie" I'm guessing you only saw the workprint and not the theater final?
In which case, the CGI wasn't done, some of the scenes didn't even HAVE the CGI in them where it should be. And contrary to popular belief, not all the scenes are in it.

In short, don't listen to this schmuck!!!!
I saw the REAL movie last night and liked it alot.
90% of his "review" is terribly inaccurate!

The bit about most of the hulk scenes being in the trailer, um, yeah, step away from the crack pipe!
