NewEgg's shipping prices are outrageous. I couldn't believe shipping for 2 items that were fairly small (mouse and keyboard) was $16 to California.

Fuck that.

wahh wahhh wahh, but when you get free shipping on a 10 pound item, you dont come on here and complain right?
i ordered a 360 a couple weeks back, and it was free shipping. so yay for me

i would take newegg over most e-tailers. i dont care if i save 5$ overall
i typically check newegg first before even considering other e-tailers.

I think the days of the tax-free-internet are quickly disappearing anyway. Many states have legislation in the works.
 
I just ordered a camera. 10 bucks for shipping.
Adding a 20 dollar bag increased shipping by another 30 bucks.

I nixed the bag.

Strangly, just a few years ago when I ordered a huge case (Silverstone) I got free shipping. Things sure change quickly with them.
 
Nooo Rivan! That is what makes online shopping oh, so much better...when you build a system for 600$ you do NOT have to pay 60$~~ on taxes!

I agree, I hope they can figure out something though. Maybe a lower sales tax or something. Because this will really hurt online sales IMO. I always equate shipping to sales tax so I consider them a wash, if things end up being the same price B&M as online, a lot of the time I will buy at the store to get it now.
 
I got a usb hub recently that was shipped from Grand Prairie, Texas (DFW).

I wondered the same thing if they added a WH to TX. Good.

I pay taxes here in CA, but I get "next day" shipping by default. Yes taxes suck, and sometimes I check TD because of them. But it is very nice ordering something at 9AM and having it at your door the next afternoon using the cheapest/free shipping method.

Probably because there is a big UPS facility in the Cincinnati 'burbs. I think DHL had a similar arrangement with Fry's in Willmington Ohio.

I ordered this from them 3 weeks ago for $45 and free shipping. Had to pay $10 for shipping a motherboard and CPU just yesterday and I'm not complaining.

exactly,its just backwards. the stuff that should be charged for shipping, is typically free. and the smaller items.. such as thermal paste, is always highly overpriced. but until newegg lets me down. i will keep going back

one time they messed up an order, a simple call and my money got refunded. woot
