2500mh battery? lol, oh HTC. Please tell me they did something to mitigate the need for a larger battery on a large screen phone.

Since the Nexus 4 was a bust, hopefully this will be the phone to get for us VZW users that can't give up our luscious unlimited LTE. Hopefully its rootable and gets support from the custom rom community.

I will wait for the international/ATT/T-Mobile version. I don't want to be tied to CDMA anymore (unless the new LTE phones are also compatible to GSM and come with a sim-card...)

All in favor of htc ditching that hideous clock widget say aye...

Thankfully, being an Android phone this is a non-issue.

Interesting phone, but hardware buttons on a device this size are a deal killer for me.

It has a screen with 11% more area than a Nexus 4 but includes a 19% larger battery. Battery life will suck anyway with extra backlight brightness and GPU power required.

I prefer them. Leaves more screen space for other things.

I thought this thing was to have like 2000 mah battery. 2500 sounds better.

Space is not an issue on large screens, especially 5" ones. However, having to reach all the way down to the bottom bezel to do the most common things on the phone (home, back menu) makes hardware buttons incredibly annoying, especially for one handed use. Nevermind that it just doesn't look as good.

It looks way better than the large empty chin that still remains on soft-key phones like the Nexus Galaxy and Nexus 4 IMO. It is somewhat easier to reach but I still prefer having the full area of the display available in all situations.

Galaxy Nexus has the best looking front of any phone ever released, IMHO. It's all one smooth, branding free glass front.

It isn't "somewhat easier" to reach, it's a lot easier to reach soft key nav buttons. Try holding a GS3 like a phone and then reach for the menu or back key, compared to the same on a Nexus or the New Razr. For one handed use (aka on the go) it makes a big difference.

Anything that would actually need the full display does a nice job of hiding the soft keys in my experience, though I do recall an app or two that didn't but that's on the devs.

Has anyone heard if this has a wacom digitizer or not? I haven't read anywhere that it does, but that doesn't have to mean it doesn't.

One would hope. It would be odd to release a device like this and not have it.

I believe the international version of this phone has 2000mah or something like that, it's the Verizon model that has 2500 mah.
