While I like my Gainward 450 Geforce3 Ti200 the 30db fan is a little loud and only pushes 2.9CFM.
As I'm not really interested in overclocking (very happy with speed of games) I'm looking to quiet down that card by going with a passive heat sink.
I know it is possible to cool the Geforce3 Ti200 passively as Dell OEM cards have a passive heat sink.
Foraging around the web revealed a lot of Active HSF's for VGA cards like the blue and crystal orbs but few passive heat sinks specificaly for VGA.
Well it does not have to be specific for VGA but I do need one that has a fairly low profile and has adequate cooling for the nvidia GPU.
One possible canidate is the Alpha W45x10W which can be had from KD Computers for only $5
So the question for you bright boys and gals:
Is a 45x45x10mm Heat sink enough to cool a non-overclocked gainward GeForce3 Ti200???????
