I just saw a deal posted on slickdeals about celucomoutlet has 32GB Touchpads for $169.00 + $10 shopping. Here is the link
http://www.vendio.com/stores/celuco...s/hp-touchpad-wifi-32gb-9-7-ips-/lid=18877379

Wanted to ask if anyone has tried this or is this a trusted site??

Absolutely not a trusted site. Did you actually read the slickdeals thread? This one?

Look at the google streetview of the business. That should tell you all you need to know. Or their reply when you pay with PayPal:

"Thanks for your recent purchase,

Unfortunately, we are unable to process paypal payments now; you are to log into your paypal account and cancel the payment.

As an alternative, we are currently accepting Western Union and Money Gram for speedy order processing.

For your convenience, log on to www.westernunion.com or www.moneygram.com to locate the nearest agents outlet to you where you can send payment.

Estimated Delivery Time: 36-72 Hours and tracking number would be provided promptly.

Request for our payment information when needed.

We hope to serve u best.

Regards. "

Thank you for your input. So i call the number listed on their address, and this guy picks up. He sounds middle eastern. I ask him if they have the HP's in stock and he says yes and they are giving them away for free, all I have to do is come in and pick it up. I was like are you kidding with me. He is like no, where are you calling from and I tell him I am in LA and he says you have 1.5 hr to come to Ohio and pick it up. I said fine wateva, and I said but you have the item listed for $169, to that he says "ITS A SCAM, WE JUST COLLECT YOUR MONEY AND NEVER SHIP THE ITEM".......and he was being serious saying all this.

This has been the weirdest conversation I have had with anyone todate!!!!D:

lmao wth

Used my coupon to buy a new set of color laser toners, pretty much a buy 2 get one free deal. Since so many people sent codes to me, I then looked aroind for any other interesting buys. They had some monitors on sale they would be a rather good deal with the coupon, but using the coupon eliminated the original instant discount, so a little more off than their advertised sale but not hot enough to buy (unless you wanted something in the 27" range but that's way too big for my desk)

Just saw the same in this Cnet video...

http://news.cnet.com/1606-2_3-50110710.html

HP will sell the touchpads at the same price $99/$149, HOWEVER.... for this run, other retailers are free to set their own pricing.

I'd be ok with that if it weren't for all the desperate people actually buying it for 250+ off of ebay. You know most shops are just going to barely undercut that being there is a demand at that price.

I placed an order this last batch when erwin had it for $20 or $30 over, but if it's $100 over forget it.

I wonder if the retailers are also going to be held to the purchase limit that HP mentioned they will be imposing.

Uh...I have a hold on my card once again from HP - SMB, dated from yesterday.

Are they just toying with my fragile emotions now?:'(

AFAIK HP has to reauthorize your card every 7 days. So it will be that way until you receive your touchpad or until they cancel.

I missed the boat, sadly, and I'm not buying it at an inflated price. Too bad for me...

That BrynaATHP on twitter person has been making statements that SMB is still trying to fulfill orders placed before the 22nd:

- 9/1 - BrynaAtHP on Twitter -
"The US SMB team is working to fulfill orders made prior to Monday, August 22 at 4am CT. Expect an email in the next 48 hrs updating you on delivery dates if you made the cut off time. Sounds like a shipping delay of a few wks."

i think as long as HP hasn't cancelled it, you'll get one... in anywhere from today to +8 weeks...

goddammit, how hard is it to list orders in the order you got them, then when that number equals the quantity in inventory, cut off the rest. then since you know the # you can make from parts in the pipeline, take the cutoff # to however many you can make.
