I wish I could get a stock count. At any rate, I think I'm getting caught up in the excitement and I need to keep reminding myself that Amazon is releasing a tablet soon and if it rocks and is cheap, I'll give the wife my Touchpad and buy the Amazon tablet for myself.

Thanks for the tip about having them in stock, but I am not calling off work to stand in line for the chance to get one... I have better things to do with my time.

Anyone got an update on ErwinComp?
I ordered last night, I got charged but "status" hasn't changed. It's still blank.
I'm going to call them in the morning.
 
dude the hitler thing is getting old... for someone who speaks german (which is quite a population) i just roll my eyes...

but on a side note, the movie was pretty good.

Let's just hope they adjust the price to $99 and $149 like every other retailer. But since they are being so vague they could price them at $129 (16GB) and $175 (32GB).

My guess is that despite their earlier claims, this was their plan all along. They left enough doubt in people's mind that they avoided the huge crush of SDers who were going site-to-site and causing havoc but still managed to get rid of their stock slowly.

good for them. i enjoyed the posts of crazy slickdealers raging out against newegg. 'blah blah blah, no refunds when everyone else is?, blah blah blah, i spend $XX,XXX every year on newegg, blah blah blah'
 
I just received an e-mail of order confirmation from HP. 😀
However, the "HP Direct" hold on my card hasn't gone through as a charge.

In related news, the hold from Insight.com is gone now. I guess my order there got canceled. 🙁
