I was tempted to jump on this........ The price is very good and the limited time availability for this deal is a huge driver. However:-
1. I've grown tied, as a consumer, on buying technology that ends up being a project rather than a solution (A Micron Chipset based USB 3.0 Dock was my last project)
2. As a software developer, it doesn't make any sense to develop for this.
3. It is $99/$150 that you could put towards another tablet
4. It is EOL...... the only hope seems to be an Android port; but I expect that this will be problematic at best.
5. HP released to market too early with problems and bugs. Sounds like some have been addressed; but I expect some issues still remain forever.
For someone wanting an E-reader and an iPad I class web browser (but with Flash) then its a good price......... I decided to pass and avoid getting caught up in all the excitement of nabbing one and hold off to see what comes out in 2012.
It is only $99......... but I'm passing (and hopefully a help to others who do not managed to snag a deal on this!)
