HP touchpad tablet $99

bought from barnes and nobles after the drop. B&N appear to be a greedy company they are offering for 2$ more than the HP's price markdown. It's meager, but still on top of that i realized i was taxed 9.35% and last I checked here in NY it's 8.875%. What BS.
 
barnes and noble seems like one of those companies that doesn't link the actual quantity in stock with how many people buy online because nobody ever buys from them online. They never had that problem.

They just stroll in tomorrow morning at 9:30 and cancel a bunch of orders.
 
My order went through @ B&N. I've had bad luck with HP stuff in the past but at $100 it seemed worth the risk. With HP selling off its computer biz I assume that means the tablets too?

Yeah, it is a roll of the dice, but I figure it is worth a try since it seems like the inventory at most other stores has dried up. If they cancel my order, it just means that I've $100 more in my pocket at the end of the day.
 
Thanks! In for two.... Overpaid $33 because of NYC tax and shipping. Bastards.. They wont even take those free shipping coupons. Says "not eligible".

Whatever. Still a hell of a deal if they come through with Android for this. Nook Color? What Nook Color?
 
Anyone who purchased from CostCentral,did you get a charge on your card ? Asking because I placed an order yesterday,and still didn't get charged.

The hope is Barnes and Noble hasn't been listed on the "Stores that carrry the Touchpad" websites.
 
B&N is now showing out of stock for both. i ordered one early this morning while it was still in stock. if i get it it will replace an hp tablet i got for my daughter 🙂
 
My card's showing pending charges from HP and B&N. Now to wait and see if either one of those actually translates into a physical product.🙂


CDW and Newegg are still listing theirs at full price.

picked up a ipad-1 screen protector for it for $0.99, i'll just cut out the camera hole with a paper punch.


this is fatter than a ipad-1 so those silicone cases won't fit?

the IPS screen is Gorilla glass. you dont need to protect it with anything!
we tried keying it and didnt made a scratch. its amazing to witness it. now im believer and refuse to buy my next phone without Gorilla
