I had bad luck with the 32" Sova tv they were selling at the beginning of December, but I finally got my refund from Buy.com, so now I have put that money back into another Buy.com tv, hopefully with better luck.

List Price: $1,649.99
You Save: $1,134.00
Our Price: $515.99
Shipping: FREE

Link - You can use your Paypal account for that $15 cash coupon to make this $501 shipped

P.S. this has both NTSC & ATSC (HDTV) tuners.

sold out! Damn, I was thinking of upgrading from my "old" 23 inch LCD HDTV that I bought last year. Hard to beat $500 for a 32 inch, that's $200 less than for the 23 inch I just paid last year.

Too bad its OOS, you could also throw on the $15 buy.com coupon to get it down below $500.

Damn! Those specs look awesome on paper. Might have to look into this at AVS. Smoking price.

ya, it has detachable speakers on the sides (just like the Sova).

It shows OOS, but you can order it still (puts you on a waiting list I think). I did that and it puts that $516 on Hold at my bank.

It's HP-branded, so it's a fairly high-quality tv. BB sells them, so you could check the picture quality out there.

If anything goes wrong then HP will send a tech out to fix it, or pay for the shipping of it, or replace the tv. I also see BestBuy is an authorized service center for HP Products, so I wonder if you could take the tv into the store for repair and HP would cover the full cost of repair?

if i remember correctly, this HP lcd uses a the same panel as the sharp aquios. I was considering this tv a while back when it was priced ~$1000. I liked it but it opted to go with a larger screen. It has a very sleek look to it but the glossy piano black finish was sort of distracting with the reflections.

After an extra 7% (special email sent to me while back in order to luring me back from buy.com:) )
My kid's game room can use it to replace their 7 years old Sony 27" CRT TV.
Here is my total @ check-out, though it reads "On-Order"

Price total @ buy.com, my order:

Subtotal $490.99
Shipping FREE
Tax $0.00
Total $490.99

If purchased from HP.com (Refurb,), here is how much it'd cost:

Subtotal $764.99

Estimated tax* $67.48

Standard shipping $52.99

Order total $885.46

Thanks OP

Spec vs Spec
The HANN appears a better TV than the HP.
For Ex:
Hann HP
(8ms vs 12ms)
(1000:1 vs 800:1)

I had not ordered from buy.com for a while until today.
One big scary chill just went thru my neck from what I've just read about its most recent rating.
reseller's rating

The most recent ratings are among the worst e-retailer customer service.

i opted to have them email me when it is in stock. Don't know if I want the hassle of "ordering" with credit card and wait. This may never be back in stock considering it is an old model (i think 2004-2005 model). do a search, you can't find this "new" anywhere, only refurb.

buy.com has already charged my cc account and and last check it reads "Sent to Warehouse" which I think is a lie because it's been OOS.
I can call my cc company and dispute the charge later if I have to.

I bit and ordered one but now I hear these may be refurbished. Anyone got one or have confirmation that they are new?

link? If they were selling a tv without saying "Opened Box", "Used", "Refurbished", or anything to the like then it is New. Selling anything used without expressing it is infact Against the Law. Maybe you're thinking of another website selling this tv?

Man-o-man, that is tempting... and I've generally had great luck with buy.com, but I think I'm just too scared by that "Special Return Policy" that states in four-alarm caps: NO REFUNDS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THIS PRODUCT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Super-fishy. Good luck to all who've been "Sent to warehouse"! :)

ya, their return policy sux on tv's. I was however able to return my 32" Sova back to them since nuvision (maker of Sova) gives 0 support. Buy.com paid for return shipping and then refunded my payment (took just over 2 weeks once they had the tv to refund the payment though).
