Calling buy.com's CS line is so pathetic. I gave up after 45 minutes waiting (twice).
If I do get the TV (so wish me luck) then it'd be the very last time I order any big purchase item such as this.

Wasn't this deal for ordering an OOS TV and waiting for one to come in? If so, why are you so upset with buy.com? I've had no problem contacting buy.com customer service multiple times.

*Edit*
I just checked their reseller ratings. Man, they sure have tanked recently. I've made several orders over the past few months with them and had no issues. Always got a reply from CS when I needed it.

Awhile back I ordered an item from Buy.com that was OOS and I was told it would ship when it came back in stck. Well, a week went by, then two, then four....nothing, not even communication from Buy.com about the status.

Finally, after many attempts and many emails, I get told the fault lies with the manufacturer of said product and that my order was still in limbo. Out of sheer curiosity I contacted the manufacturer directly and asked about the product and their relationship with Buy.com. I also forwarded the email that Buy.com sent me blaming the manufacturer. Come to find out, the manufacturer had no idea what Buy.com was talking about and they said they had plenty in stock. Basically, Buy.com was scapegoating the manufacturer.

After all that, a day or two later I get an email saying my order was cancelled. It then took them another 2 days to refund my money.

The most horrible online shopping experience I have ever had.

About 3, or 4 years ago I ordered a digital camera from them that was on back order. It stayed on backorder for 2-3 months and then one day I received it out by UPS out of the blue. They never charged my CC for it either.

Then about 6 months later I get a bill in the mail for it - which I never paid. I still feel somewhat guilty about it, but I was pissed at the time because they kept stalling me when it was on backorder saying it would be in stock any day, so I felt somewhat justified in getting it for free.
