I dunno much about any of the a-whatever's they have now, but that
a8 was fine for regular windows stuff once it had decent ram and an ssd,
and a fresh install of 8.1. If you were to blind test me in a day of the usual
BS I do on a computer, couple browsers with 20 tabs each, a gotomypc session, netflix,
IM, 20 odd background apps in the tray, I couldn't tell the difference between it, the i7 lappy, and my 9590 desktop. I think all the midrange or better stuff is "good enough" now if the software or IO sys isn't jacked up. It's a golden age we live in lol

I picked up an A6-6430? Or something when I was on vacation.

Returned it when I got back from vacation. My cell phone was faster. Sad when I could get directions faster on my cell phone than the laptop I bought to handle that purpose specifically.

Damn, I paid that much at best buy for an a8-3410 with a 1tb drive and 12gb ram.
